@pasham1204 It's all personal taste; Scotty and Lauren are both GREAT singers for sure!! I absolutely love them both! I think Lauren is just wonderful in this and being so close to my own mother it moves me nearly to tears! I also love Lauren in Candle in the Wind..one of my very favorite songs of all time and she did it justice, a very vulnerable beautiful performance. I just prefer Scotty and think he is Justin B. but with an incredible voice..superstar city for him for sure!! Both great
This is absolutely beautiful but you don't base an Idol winner on one performance. The reason it was an upset last year when Crystal lost is because Crystal was consistent and the frontrunner the whole season and Lee was weak short of a few performances This year Scotty was the frontrunner all season and in fact never was even in the bottom three, Lauren once in the bottom two. There as no upset this year. Lauren is great but Scotty is better and he deserved the title!

This performance, just like "Anyway", "I hope you Dance" is MAGIC. On each song I feel chills just like JLO did. That only comes when someone has greatness in them. As JLO said, "these (chillls) are not for sale." Lauren, God Bless You. Your performances reach a level that is magical. That is the highest aim of great music and great performance. guys.... scotty didnt win because of his looks. he won because when scotty fans saw this? they were scared and ALL of them voted non stop so that he would win. because they clearly knew that if they didnt vote all night long... lauren would have taken it home

She absolutely should have won Idol 2011 and she probably didn't because of the wacky and ridiculous Idol voting process. The judges wanted her to win, but I feared their obvious preference might cost her votes. With no boundaries, anything can happen. I am not the only one who believes their voting process should be changed.she should of won.!

@pasham1204 It's all personal taste; Scotty and Lauren are both GREAT singers for sure!! I absolutely love them both! I think Lauren is just wonderful in this and being so close to my own mother it moves me nearly to tears! I also love Lauren in Candle in the Wind..one of my very favorite songs of all time and she did it justice, a very vulnerable beautiful performance. I just prefer Scotty and think he is Justin B. but with an incredible voice..superstar city for him for sure!! Both great

This is absolutely beautiful but you don't base an Idol winner on one performance. The reason it was an upset last year when Crystal lost is because Crystal was consistent and the frontrunner the whole season and Lee was weak short of a few performances This year Scotty was the frontrunner all season and in fact never was even in the bottom three, Lauren once in the bottom two. There as no upset this year. Lauren is great but Scotty is better and he deserved the title!

this performance made me cry....the judges were right to make us think she was deserving of the title, based on that performance.....scotty's deserving too, but it just would've been nice to have a girl win as one hasn't since 2005!
