My ex still has his 70 RR, stock 440-6 pack, that he used to race. The sound is awesome! He doesn't have the side sticker, but the air grabber is funny: just flip the switch on at a red light, and it opens up and freaks out the little kiddies in the next car!!! LOL
i knew a guy who had a 68 camaro with a blown 454 and gear drive... between the timing gears and the blower the thing sounded like a jet turbine going down the road, you could hear it coming a mile away. sweet car man... wish i had the dough for one!!
I am not sure if I like the sound of the engine with the gears on the timing but I am sure that your performance went up. Guess I am just used to the sound of the Big Block idle without them, nice car though.:D
Thanks to all for your compliments! They were Hooker super comp big tube headers, Magnaflow stainless steel mufflers (that unfortunately only lasted about 3 seasons because the insides fell apart), but Magnaflow mufflers give the best high compression sound of all!

That whine is perfect. A big cam and gear driven timing...it probably doesn't get any better that that. Beautiful sound.
