Too bad they wont be able to stay in America. They never made it to dry land, they will be forced back to Cuba.

This was on the Valor. My understanding is that cruise ships routinely pick up raft occupants. In fact we were told by Valor employees that they give them clean clothes and wash watever clothes they had on them to keep for future "pick ups".

so what did they bring them back to america...it could be a terrorist plot for all we know "act like cubans stranded on a raft and get free passage into the u.s."

Once they were on board they called the Coast Guard which dispatched a helicopter to pick them up. The raft was then cut loose and left out in sea. If they are picked up at sea they are returned to Cuba.
