  • good documention to lern from and well done compared to the situation. This is exactly the situation where the Markusnet would have worked its best.

  • Check out my USCG videos from Barnegat Light

  • Get your free vessel check by the USCG Auxiliary to make sure you have the necessary safety equipment should this happen to you. Proper life jacket for each on board came in handy.

  • how the hell do you capsize a godamn boat in those waters? lol

  • i have been on that boat the coast guard one

  • I live on a boat as a shore house and the barnegat light station is right across from me. Our yact club is High Bar Harbour Yact Club. I even went to the coast guard open house and wear a coast guard hat everyday that says U.S. Coast Guard Barnegat Light

  • I listened to this Rescue on the radio on my dads boat, and the strange thing is I leave for Coast Guard boot camp in 2 days hahaha. Nice job Guys.

  • Outstanding, to the crew that took this case BRAVO ZULU and to everyone else watching notice that the entire crew worked as a team and communicated, thats something people in the civilian world have a hard time doing.

Also notice that when we go out on a case we have to be ready for anything at anytime thats why they are wearing guns and doing a rescue.

  • Do you do things like this often, dhslawdog?

  • they are wearing gun belts because they were doing a Law enforcement patrol at the time. I am 16 I just got back from spending a week at STA. Barnegat Light I love it there they always work like that its great down there

  • @bitting4089 Small boats always have weapons.

  • Good thing the Coast Guard was there!

I really wish I knew the entire story. I wonder what happened to make the boat flip over? Did they recover the boat or is it on the bottom? How did the Coast Guard know about this(who called it in?)?

  • Ace...The boat began taking on water in the rear and then in the cabin. To my knowledge, it is unknown what caused this water to come in the boat. The owner of vessel called "Mayday" before boat capsized. It literally took boat only 3 minutes to fill with water and turn over. The boat was recovered and is not sitting at bottom of ocean. I agree thank God our Coast Guard and the NJSP, heard the Call out for help! The NJSP (who drove out from A.C.) arrived immediately after the Coast Guard!

  • Good job Coast Guard, God Bless the U.S. Coast Guard

  • that was my mother on that boat.

  • No, not your mother! That's me!
