The chinese also think we are doomed which is evident by interest in some of our iconic corporations. What will probably end up happening is the chinese will gingerly take GM, Ford and other of our failing businesses off our hands while we sit back and play my party vesus yours.

FYI: The New Deal did NOT get us out of the Great Depression. World War II did. Your liberal teachers/professors don't want you to know that. WWII created jobs because food, supplies, weapons, etc. were needed. The New Deal is given FAR more credit than deserved.

um, the new deal came before WWII and showed a significant inclination of the GDP far before the strike on pearl harbor and that's just history!
(oh, and lets just say WWII did get us out of the depression, how did it do that?....hmmm....maybe government spending? Would you agree to the stimulus bill if we were building tanks and bombs instead of schools and bridges? )

Yeah, the New Deal came before WWII. It started in 1933, and there was no real change in the economy until WWII started. When it did start, companies started manufacturing steel and food and whatever else was needed for the soldiers overseas (and by the way, we started producing for these necessities for the countries who needed them, not for ourselves, until Pearl Harbor happened in 1941.) You clearly have no understanding of history.

So, there are some media outlets out there who still believe in honest journalism, not many though, only about 90% of the radio and 76% of network news.

I can't believe he did that. That "stimulus" bill was hastily written behind closed doors without any input from the Repub's. It is a MASSIVE $pending bill that is a grab bag of pork projects the Democrats have been wanting to do for years.
