  • Funny enough, Steve was in the Army but a chaplain.....sorry, I mean a medic!!

  • Steve reminds me of a bloke at work, who is an ex-Coldstream guardsman, fighting fit, even in his mid fifties, slight east anglian accent and a huge freaky moustache. Is Steve an ex guardsman? He looks frighteningly fit, not a bead of sweat at all! I sweat even in snow :-(

  • I am frightening and (occasionally) fit, and Somerset is the origin of this testament to virility. The moustache is a legacy of years of silent rebellion in the military, and I had my sweat glands surgically removed to avoid the embarrassment of showing weakness when on strenuous walks. I also use regional accents in order to keep my anonymity. I hope to meet you one day Tiger but be warned that there are many imposters on the hills. If unsure, tweak the moustache and reveal the true man !!

  • It would be a pleasure and an honour Steve. Sadly, I was excluded from military service due to 'asthma' appearing on my boyhood medical records. For the time being, I can only follow in your footsteps, but rest assured I would not mistake you! The sweat is an eternal embarassment due to my 'warm' nature, and the freaky moustache only a distant dream due to my fair complexion. The walking however, is a reality, a dream come true.
