Religion, in my opinion, is great for giving to those who see right and wrong as only what they get away with a sense of greater purpose and direction. That said, organized religion has danger in giving yourself, not to God, but to man, who everyone can agree, religious or not, is easily corrupted.

It can be a blessing, a curse, and anything between. I follow no religion, having an internal sense of morality and disagreeing with a lot of beliefs and practices organized religions hold.
