I just beat it!!! My time was 9:12:117!!! Geeze it only took five years. I beat the SL500 by .6 seconds after losing to it twice in a row by .08 and .052 seconds and almost throwing the controller through the tv. Anybody want to know what cars you win? I mean, if you don't know already. What a pain in the butt challenge but also what a satisfaction.

Did you buy the car to practice on the track before doing the mission? If so, what kind of setup did you put on it. I bought it and just put sport-hard tires on it and it reacts a little different that in the mission. Nice driving by the way the end was very close!

I finally got this one after five days of practice. Something that really helps is to use the e brake on the corners at 5:00 and 5:20. Go full speed into those corners and learn to time the e brake so that you hit the barrier with the back end of the car. Other than that I ran a clean lap with the exception of the final straight where i rammed into the second place car just before the final turn. Got penalized but plenty of time to recover and win- 9 14.010 This vid was very helpful. Thanks.

Lol, this mission is a NIGHTMARE to me, it is just to hard, but I will try it, what I hate is that all of those piece of shit bad cars get that huge advantage and you have to an incredible effort to win.

oh yea, hahah and another post. I ALMOST HAD IT like 2 days ago. I was doing well i was almost passing the 5th dude WAYYY before the long straightaway, BUT I MISSED AND BUMPED HIM. then i tried agian i mised again. thten i failed by 13 seconds. NUU

Thanks, d4t! Yeah, this mission was a doozy! I've since learned better ways to cut the grass, especially at Adenaur-Forst and Hohenrain, which I didn't use for this run. But the wallrides at Breidscheid, Bergwerk, and Karussel work out really well. Keep pluggin' away, and you'll get this one!

Thanks! When I have time, I'll try to run a cleaner lap, as this one was quite sloppy. Even with the NTSC/USA version (which has a 123 second wait time, and the 300SL lapping around 9'13.000), beating the 300SL is possible, but this was one of the first successful runs I've had, so I wanted to share it.
