  • @micahgee I call your BS, after a few hours in the boat crabbing in the rain when

Your hands are all wrinkled and white... Them little suckers will tear your fingers wide

Open! Lol as far as that "nighthawk" gadget, I found one a few weeks back on the rocks of my fav Oregon bay. I gave it to my nephews and they had fun with it, I think they got one or two Ernie's "keepers" but if ya have a boat... Don't bother just use pots.

  • @JefafaSB

Not sure what you're talking about....if you were using the CrabHawk and not a "knock-off" I would be absolutely surprised with negative results. Some people like to pots, as it's fun, but not as fun or sporting as casting, reeling and catching from a rod-n-reel. No matter how you catch crab and bring home dinner is good with us! Take care......CrabHawk.

  • GANGSTA!

  • crabs are very dangerous to handle .

  • @zyzor

not really, if you know what you are doing.

Grab them back the back and they can't get you. Even if you do get pinched, its not that bad, they can't snap their claws quickly enough to draw blood or worse. Dungeness crab aren't too bad. Their claws are designed for prying open clams and mussels etc and not for quick cutting thankfully.

If you are worried about your fingers, wear some kind of work glove.

  • With the CrabHawk, you can see and measure them within the crab catcher. If they are keepers, dump them back into the water without even touching them.........it doesn't get much easier than that.

Remember......CrabHawk gets you out where the BIG ONES lay and where dinner is just a cast away!

  • @CrabHawk rings or box are more effective. pull up a couple dozen at a time.

  • Nice!

  • look effective great during the winter when u want to throw it in deep area of the water but it too costly for that simple, little thing

  • nice ...i heard about that gadget

  • Looks a lot more effective than the loop snares we use off the coast near San Francisco.

  • I just ate a crab, it was the bomb! boil it in coconut milk, top some white rice with the juice, OMG!

Hard to find here in Connecticut barely any store sells them...

  • There are some stores and will be more in the future. Currently most CrabHawks on the East/Gulf Coasts are purchased from the CrabHawk website.
