This is a beautiful rendition of this song. Brian Free and Assurance made this a signature song for their group. Carrie put her own little twist to it. And the words are so true and I am glad to see that someone in a different genre can sing of our Savior.
Originaly sung By Gospel singer Brian Free while with Brian free and assurance. Carrie does a great Job on this song. Brian was one time with Gold city quertet years ago for Thirteen years. Hear brian free and assurance sing this on youtube aswell. Great Job Carrie.
Carrie is a very great singer. When it comes time for her to show her faith, the best way that she shows it is by singing it in a song and that shows her love that she has for God. She is overall a great person and singer who believes in God and going after what she believes in and that is singing, making her fans happy, and most importantly, showing that she believes in God and that her love for him is very powerful. Great job Carrie!!!!! May God always Bless you. God Bless Everyone!!!
@ShowcasePhotographer Don't see why Carrie should endorse images used in this video. Images of Christ are man's drawings and not biblical. Part of being a godly Christian is by your testimony, and not ashamed to talk about God which Carrie has done a many of times, especially at acceptance speeches. Carrie thanks God first. At the ACM, she thanked her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ when accepting her Triple Crown Award. And got a rousing ovation.
Would be nice if Carrie publiclly endorced the images that were used by this video. Maybe you could modify a few if a meaning behind a photo was not consistant to her beliefs. I concidered that the stretching out of the song to yield to the spirit, as testimate that she may also be willing, to represent herself in support of intent of these images & their format. I think this would create a more valuable tool for witnessing, by removing what I suspect would be a stumbling block for the viewers.
@ShowcasePhotographer I don't think God needs an endorser =) you can show people God's live by the way you live and speak, your character is enough outpour of God's goodness and mercy. though yes she can use her music in showing that she believes in God...there are so many people who proclaim that they are believers but when you looked their lives it doesn't say so...
Yes, this is from Carrie's demo CD and she was 18 years old here - sometimes the CD will come up on Ebay but it's pricey - there's one on there now but the bidding ended in March and it went for $49
This song was originally done by the southern gospel group Brian Free and Assurance...Carrie is good but if u want to hear the best version look them up
This is Carrie's best song! God blessed her with an incredible voice and for her to sing His praises is the best gift she could give her fans and God. Great choice Carrie!!!
This is by far my favorite Carrie Underwood song. I only wish she would sing more songs like this one. God gave her a beautiful voice and to sing His praises is the best use of that incredible gift.
hi i see you have a link and im looking and i know this is probably dumb but are the downloads free?? plz right back i want to know can you plz right me in a message!! thank you so much
although carrie's version is nice...no one can sing this song like Brian Free & Assurance. Check out my version of this song of Brian on my video "God So Loved" on my video section.
Indeed, our hope was born and bought through sacred blood, and THAT my friends, is just how much God loved each and everyone of us, and I for one am sure that there is not a single one of us that He did not see or think of when He was dying for us all. I played this song for an altar call when I preached my first sermon, and though nobody came for repentance, alot of lives were still touched.
love this song, i know it was origianlly put out by Brian Free and the assurance, but she pulled it of spectacularly, and the montage, awesome kudos my man..
I love Carrie's pre-idol cd's as well as her post... I have "First Studio Sessions" and "Carrie Underwood"... Need "Live From Little Rock"... Well anyway... aren't you from carriefans?
Was wondering if Carrie did this in a studio or was it a song she sang in church. I love it! I'm glad she isn't afraid to sing about what she believes. Would love to hear more.
Even at 17 she showed signs of brilliance. I can understand why she has such a following. I can understand also her involvement on Idol gives back, she practices what she preaches.

Are you ready to die?
Have u lied? Have u stolen? Jesus said if you look at a woman with lust you have committed adultery with here in your heart. have u done that?
If God judge’s u by the Ten Commandments will u be innocent or guilty? Heaven or Hell? Does this concern you?
Do u need a Savior from your sins? And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Jesus came, lived a sinless life, died (for our sins) and rose again on the third day.

This song is for my Jesus and if you don't care for it maybe you should not come here. Because if you stay Jesus will win your heart.

FINALLY! A real down to earth person that will sing about what is really important, God. Not all those singers who sing about stupid things

@ShowcasePhotographer I've wished for ages now that she would move to Christian music, where she is now in Country she's started to feel fake to me.
