I wasted so many years of my spiritual life carrying bricks like a mule. I could have just asked for love from the Source. I tried to do it all my self. In the end I was bloody and beaten. The whole world collapsed around me. Only then did I get it. Now I get much more love and Source carries the bricks. I wish I had done it this way from the beginning instead of trying to be so clever.

Thats only with certain people, and they are one in a million, as for the rest of us we need a Teacher to learn Islam, to at least penetrate its everlasting knowledge and we can only began to understand if we start off with a teacher. We all need an Ameer/Leader also.

oh i am dying to find a teacher but there are certain thing in life that you cant just leave it, i say finnish your responsiblities

The only issue that I see in Sufism is that you don't care about what happens in the world sorounding you. This is just a portion of Islamic phylosophy that was supported by Persian, Turkish and British Kingdoms to stop public involvment in politics. Don't react but meditate in your inerward because God will send someone to save you. There is a big differene between Mevlana's teachings and what we call Sufism today.

No that is the misconception! When you focus on the negative it becomes the reality! Politics is not the game of Allah! Faith is! When you have faith then all becomes possible! When you have politics you are relying on people to further you and they bcome the gods! The British started the whole Political Islam. If V were sincere and connected to Allah the British would never have ruled the Muslim world. But the Muslims had deviated and the Shaitan got us by making us play his game & not Allahs.

it starts off by saying dont feed both sides of your body equally they both take different amounts,so thats mind and soul, methaphor of Jesus and the donkey. Don't load yourself too heavily on oneside while the other side of yourself is free and able to carry that load. Thats my translation for it but theres so much wisdom in Rumi's poetry...
