wth are you talking about? get your facts right, R62 and R142 are IRT subway cars and would never run on the BMT division. (revenue service)

r62 A division cars wont fit on B division tracks so couldnt have been. what you saw was an r40 modified probably.

the r62s will never go on the W line because the r62s are only for the irt and there really small and short while OUR trains are big and wide and our trains wont fit on the irt tunnels

while im exited for the R160 its the begining of the end for the slants and the r38's two of my personal favorites and i have been riding those since i was a kid living in manhaten and riding the A train just wont be the same

The A train had so much "character" in the mid 80s with the R-38s, R40s, R44s and the occasional R10s all running at the same time.
