  • I would never have thought that there would be anyone that would want to interfere with communications with the space station. That's just bad radio. Find them, fine them heavily, and let them be sorry.

  • tape record this and give it to the CIA

  • Not the Russians! They want trouble again don't they? I hate those Russian pirates. I hate those pirates.

  • @justinlego001 lol, russian pirates are the worst pirates. Every night wihout exceptions 100m band is soo flooded with them , i believe its the same for other bands. Also im pretty sure that russian pirates never sleep

  • You dirty banana-picking Costa Ricans look like trolls. Such filthy knuckle-draggers should be prohibited from having any sort of communication with outside civilization.

  • those r the fucking mexicans, i'm from costa rica, and we have a repeater on the ch36 on 11mts, and those assholes use that frequency for their taxis, imean no problem with that but for what they want all the world to listen to them, our repeater is fucking screwed up because they transmit like that. FUCK THE MEXICANS< FUCK THEM< THEY SHALL EAT SHIt, assholes!!! hijos de la chingadas mexicanos, vayanse a la mierda

Parabéns ao exemplo de radio-amadorismo(PROFISSIONAL) PS8RF/Beacon 24 hours in air - STP ( Save The Planet ) - GI84ov

  • Hi,

Can you give a translation of the conversations?

  • Comment removed

  • lol @ "sounds like mexican 11 mtrs"

  • Instead of calling CQ to the ISS, call for NA1SS, the space station call sign.

  • @IC2720 He was using the repeater on board. :)

  • @IC2720 people have forgotten the translation of CQ aparantly. Money cant buy skills, but state of the art tranceivers & antennas to reach a space station :)

no offense, i am just a cynic old radioman.

  • you shouldn't contact them. u mite of got in the way if there was a emergency . think about it.

  • uhm, if the crew is bussy the sound of the repeater is turned down, no way to interupt them if they are not ready to be interupted

  • @richfilmswales He was using a frequency designated to contact them on. In an emergency, they would not be using that radio. :)

  • @N0rthwestRadio ok cool, thanks for clearing that up for me.

  • @richfilmswales Actually, the crew usually has rec time scheduled for their HAM station. The commander will oftentimes start calling out for any stations on the ground and engage them in brief QSOs.

I've heard the station a few time, but I don't have a good enough antenna for transmission to them yet.

  • Easy to cq a space-station in early 21st century. I wonder why my kids will be playing with..

  • @OK2BCK i had contact with a space station 15 yrs ago... it was the MIR and it was not on VHF/UHF.

The worst thing is, i was not even aware of it until the QSL card hit my mailbox...

  • @zoolkhan haha that's fantastic! Good ol' MIR. I was quit sad when they burned it down and now, they saying it about ISS already. The space program seems stagnating for a while now! Greetings from New Zealand

  • @OK2BCK ..yes, the MIRs descent into athmosphere was a sad happening to me.. also, they seemed to have a morse key on board. (back then i did not do anything else but CW, so it must have been on CW)

VHF/UHF has nothing to do mit skills, but very much to do with money (beam, rotors, computers, and decent power - all comercially available) vs shortwave -> home made antennas, home made key, filters .. sure some commercial parts, but it had much more of "experiment" sticking to it..73 fm OH

  • sounds like mexican 11 mtrs.
