I can't believe some of these comments! This is classic Kelly at her best. Y'all need to listen to her first 4 albums which were MUCH better than her post-millenium work. This s a throwback to her 90's sound. She has been the only great country (although I would call her musical style part-rockabilly, part-western, part-pop) singer for the last 2 decades. Her MCA albums were as good as music can get. Too bad she married such a talentless singer. Shoulda stuck with Lyle Lovett- sorry Julia!
A little to "pop" for me, but it's still the most talented woman in country music today. Enough with all these pop american idol queens, Kelly has paid her dues and refused to sell out. Keep on rolling out the hits Kelly, true fans wil know how to find them.
I love Kelly Willis' music . . . until "Translated from Love". I am too true to the music. Hate almost all new country. A lot of love to the George Straits of the world.
No,they have to pay for their groceries, hence this video, this is their work. Also most artists will try many new and or different sounds in their lives it keeps them from getting bored and moving on to something else,or another field of work all together, her and hubby Bruce Robison are very talented people and still doing their after 20 years,How many of us are doing the same thing after 20+ years?
Actually you are right and I am wrong. But you already knew that. Mine was a poorly comment written in haste comment. What I SHOULD have said much more eloqently was that after all these years of listening to Kelly's great songs about heartbreak and unrequited love I yearned to hear another. I guess I have been spoiled by all of her great songs and expect each one to be another, which unfair to anyone. My only hope is that she will continue to write more so I can hear her more often.
Why all the thumbs down, this song is great.

In a hundred years people will pay billions just have her autograph. The greatest almost singer ever.
Sorry Kelly, but the song was too commerical for my taste but then I don't pay for the groceries.
