There are some genres of gaming that Christians should not dabble in, and so, I commend you for preaching against these RPG games where you pretend to be someone else. Another genre that I would be against is first-person shooter ie grand theft auto. I can PM you a link if you want of a story from 2005 where a GTA addict got the death penalty for killing some cops ... a game that glorifies violence will affect the player.

@ Brother Price: HolyVigilante is probably alluding to the fact that most (if not all) charismatics/pentecostals/tong­ue-smokers reject eternal security and thus believe in essentially working to KEEP your salvation ... thus, I would disagree with the use of the phrase "charismatic brethren." Am I saying that all charismatics are lost? No, but I think many are; this would explain the blindness with regard to the Satanic imitations of what God did in the book of Acts in char. circles.

As for games, I am a young person who is involved in gaming, and here is my advice to a preacher like yourself when dealing with young people like me who like gaming: ask the big questions. Is the person addicted? What attracts them to that game (and what does God's Word say about those reasons for liking the game)? Do they stay up late on a regular basis (i.e., weekly) to play? Based on 1 Cor. 6:12 and Php 1:9-11, can one play that game with a clear conscience?
