Where did you get this?

I have a male parakeet and he looks exactly likr yours:)

is normal branch stick safe for them or like a chopstick :))

and what kind of things can I use to make a gym :))

and mines is like boring was yours like that at the first 2 months??

My dad made it for him out of dry pine and it isn't treated with anything just plane wood. A willow branch or apple brance is fine as long as the tree isn't treated with any pest poison!!! Grape vine is also very good .I cleaned it withHOT water then dried it for a while .A parent can help you dry it in a 250 oven keep it on a tray and keep a very close eye on it . DO NOT DO IT YOUR SELF!!!! If your under age. also can be air dried

Aw thanks for the comment BeatfanX .Ya i bet he will chew it untill it falls over .He has lots of wood ladders but not of the same wood so he don't chew them .he sits on a chair and don't chew the wood just the play gym it is very soft pine.

Goodness gracious! He chews like a female! My females are very destructive. My males, not so much. I've actually had females chew through perches in their cage. Unfortunately, I didn't witness the final moment to see how surprised they were when it fell.

And, Mickey's colors/markings are beautiful!

Funny thing is that is the only think he really chews that and a branch I have for him by my computer.He never chews his pearches in th ecage I have willow branches and Apple branches also some wood toys for him he don't bother them . Think it is because it is very soft pine my dad made it and gave it to me from a picture i sent him.Thanks for the comment and watching hereabirdthereabird

I give mine a dried up pine cone, they spend a lot of time tearing them apart.

It is pine my dad mad it when i first got Mickey.Are the pine cones stickey??we have some around here but I would have to be carefull people use stuff on the trees and the lawns you know the gulf corse look around here you get what i am saying. thanks lon for the comment

Yep,

all dried up and ready to drop their seeds.

I have a LongLeaf Pine out back of my property that has cones almost the size of a football, and my big parrots will spend hours on each cone. I drop it on the top of their cages, and they pick them apart through the bars.

They seem to like these big pine cones better than any toy that I ever bought them.

It is fresh and they don't have a store smell lol.texture is a big deal to them.They are not colored or any of that.

Okay, that is incredible! My parakeet likes to chew on paper and stuff, but not hard stuff like that! He just loves it! He looks a lot like my parakeet! I videos of him if you would like to check it out. Oh, and where did you get such a cool play gym? My parakeet has one, but not that big and cool! Oh man, and what a good talker! CUTE!

Parrots are classified as DESTRUCTIVE, and thank you for showing us a perfect example, even in the smallest version of that big family. (Aren't you glad you don't have a macaw in the living room...) Now, if only Mickey could clean up the rest of his mess in addition to the top of his cage...

Yes Destructive on wood helpes his beak .lol But no he does not chew much anything he is not aloud to .My Father made that from a picture for Mickey to Play on and chew.He was chewing a grape vine and willow brance.I have calcium Pearch and other schell pearches for him so they all help.He just likes the play gym because it is in the bright and sunny part of the house.Thanks CVersailles for you comment.
