Yao Ming and Shaq are actually EQUALLY tall. They both have a standing reach of 9'8". Shaq was actually taller when Yao was a rookie, but then Yao grew to a 9'8" standing reach, he only used to have a 9'7" standing reach rookie year. That makes Yao even better considering he has short arms.
