Wow! After going through some of the entries, everyone did a great job in this round! It shows just how much more a vidder can convey without effects, rather than with. Good luck everyone! And...yay Patty! lol! Had to do it girl!

Aw I'm a bit sad that only 1 person went down the humorous vid route but thats cause i sure do love funny vids. I have my favs but i think everyone did a really good job :)

And also, would it be alright if we did a crossover-type video, like with Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, and various anime series?

I wanted to know, so I don't get disqualified, on the website it says to use the interlacing to the best of our advantage. Are we permitted to interlace most clips into each other, about 80% of them?

Question! If a clip has subtitles can I zoom in just the minimum enough to cut it out? It looks kinda ugly in the video and I was wondering about it. o.o

Fair enough. Thank you for clarifying. Oh another thing. editing audio in terms of length. Like shortening the song for instance while making it seem seamless with use of drum hits and rises. Is that considered a effect as well? Like what I did with my last video entry. Its just added audio and no filter was added aside from audio fades and crossfades. Sorry for the questions. This is my last one and I will be right as rain.

Cutting the song is fine. Just as long as you don't add any audio effects to it. It just has to be longer than 40 seconds, that's all.

yes it is. The only "effects" that are allowed are posted on the website.

Fades in and out from black, minor zooms, reverse, white flashes, minor slowing and speeding up of clips (don't over do it), audio bytes from the fandom, that aren't in anyway filtered or altered.

I do have a couple questions, since we're allowed to slow the clips a little, are we also allowed to slightly speed them up? And what about reversing clips? It's not an 'effect' on SV and I guess I could always reverse it frame by frame if I'm not simply allowed to click the 'reverse' button.

BethanyJill - You are allowed to slightly slow down and speed up clips. However, we don't want an overdose of that. You may also use the reverse tool.

Soniarocks18 - Yes, you are allowed to slightly slow down the clips, and use voice overs. However, don't add effects to the audio such as an echo or ear sugar. Good luck!

As long as you don't put any effects on the audio. No reverb or anything. Just plain audio.

You can ungroup it. Audio is another element of the movie or show Just like the scenes. You just cannot use any effect on it..
