Sam Torrents commentates on this game with a member of EA Sports as the main commentator, but he signed off for PGA Tour 10. Scott Van Pelt was the commentator and PGA Tour 12 now has Jim Nantz as the main commentator. Please keep Sam as the commentator because he's got some good lines like:

This game is terrible. So many rough patches its unbearable. Horrible graphics, a total joke. I also bought the movement enhancing things for the remotes and they are basically worthless. The whole thing is a sham. How to I get my money back?

When I started the game, I took carrer to be all play,now I got something 18 -19 under par always.

third complaint- cant sim golf events or days. VERY frustrating example: when you play out an event you have to sandbag otherwise the computers compensate and get ridiculous scores. my first round i shot a 63 and the computer shot a 71. next round the computer shot a 56! now the first 3 days of the event i have to shoot an average score otherwise i have to get a -40 to win an event!

ive been playin tw 09 for the wii for a week or so.

first complaint- the price. the xbox360 and ps3 versions are so much more intense, yet only $10 more.

second complaint- the putting. the graph going up the left side is all the same color and has no numbers to show percentages. can be very confusing. also many times the wii remote will glitch out when coming forward and affect the power, and you wont make the putt.

It was also the first game to be made by EA Tiburon instead of EA Canada, so there were going to be some issues. At the least, it was a much better game than anything the Canada made versions were, and it set the framework for the FAR superior TW10 Wii.

I honestly thought I'd see something innovative and new watching this video. The one-to-one is how Wii sports Golf (which is a bloody MINI game) works, so it should ALWAYS have worked this way, and the All-play feature completely defeats the object of the Wii.

Well done EA, another laughable fuckup akin to the original CryEngine.

wii sports golf doesn't work like that. u can sit on the chair and swing your arm left to right to take a swing

Yes it does - I have both games and the controls are as good as identical. Of course you can swing your arm left to right, just as you can in Tiger Woods - you are still affecting the same accelerometers.

But when you swing the club back the golfer doesnt move the club up and down exactly as you do.

Nor does he in Tiger Woods - it does it only as accurately as the cheap accelerometers in the Wiimote can pick up. The amount you need to move in Wii Sports Golf against the amount you need to move in TW is practically identical. The bottom line is, they've taken this control method right out of a mini-game, it is laughable (and lazy) that they ever released a TW game on the Wii without this basic use of the Wiimote - but this laziness is typical of EA (speaking as a former games developer)

In wii games golf. You can't raise the club back and have the player cop you exactly. The player won't keep the club in midair.

Yes, they're similar in that respect. The difference is the mini game toggles between practice and real swing much more smoothly.

all play is gay, it makes the 5 year old who can barely swing the remote get birdies on every hole. seriously, i decided to see how this all play crap worked and i got like a -25 or better every game. it would be slightly better if the all play didnt change the putting though, i mean being in a constant put preview is cheap, u can land a put on the hardest green from the furthest point from the hole u could possibly be. also its mad hard to control your power and not add draw/fade to your shot

That is the whole point of all play. It is so less experienced players can play. If you can shoot a -25 you shouldn't use all play, it's that simple.

yea but its too easy, anyone can get a -25 on all play without trying, all they have to do is aim the white line at the hole and swing, i've gotten a hole in one on almost every par 3 in the game... that alone shows tht its way too easy, they could have kept the fact that all play controls your power for you and done somthing like the put preview for every swing so they can see where it will go without having 100% of the work taken out of the game. its a good idea but its just a little too easy.

yea but u see i used all play the first time i played tigerwoods 09... in fact tht was the first game of golf i've ever played on the wii seeing how i'm not much of a fan of golf... the only reason i got 09 was because my sister said it was good and we could play online... so yea the reason i said "i decided to see how this all play crap worked" was because of the fact tht i watched my sister play the game before but she wasnt using it so yea i was an inexperienced player at the time i used it.

I feel sorry for the guys who had to tweek the wii controls enough to make it have 1 to 1 control; the motion plus would of saved alot of work out of it(assuming the motion plus is actually as good as nintendo says it is.)
