Lawrence was a bit taken back by Raymond's frank stance on the teachings of Islam haha. He kept trying to bring it back to a slightly less clear view.
Tolerant? Al Andaluse tolerant? Non muslims had to wear markings on their clothes to show they weren't the 'rightly guided'. Like jews under nazism. They were streetsweepers because they couldn't hav jobs to hold authority over muslims.
This interviewer is trying to be educated, but still has a PC and MSM plate in front of his face.
One of the clearest lessons about Islam is found in the Sharia. The largest part of the Sharia is devoted to regulating the life of Muslims down to the smallest detail. There is no aspect of life that is not regulated sex, food, art, business, education, prayer, manners, speech, and how to think and not to think. There is no aspect of life that is outside the power of Sharia religion, politics, ethics, and culture are included. The Sharia is the operating manual for a complete civilization.
Well, Muslims don't contemplate the ethics of everything they do, there are hadiths on drinking and eating while standing, some say you should vomit if you do, some report that Muhammad drank while standing, there's nothing very ethical about that discussion. There's a word for having every aspect of your life governed; totalitarianism. That's certainly not beautiful, in my opinion.
I'm Australian, I don't know who this willing dhimmi is, but his ignorance of historical facts is sickening. Raymond you have more patience and charity than me. Maybe we can arrange for him to move to Saudi with no way of return to envelope this quisling in islamic beauty in all its glory.

When it comes to utilizing a 7th century theology as your ethical value system its repercussions can be calamitous. My point was very explicit.
