  • This beats Lady Gaga any day

  • Genial!

  • Yeah brilliant song... it's waking me up on this lazy Sunday. Have u also listened to Water Flea by P. and Takemura? It escaped remarks by now but it's worth listening to it. Very touching!

  • You know this guy is one of those artists I listened to a little of years ago and then just put it down and forgot about it, only to dig it back up today and check out all of his releases and a lot of this is instant buy for me, love it so much. Why did I put it down so long ago? Missing out on so much great music.

  • Dude... What? This video is fucking wierd...

  • Did you check out the track by Purusha & Takemura? Kind of a different style but very nice nonetheless (it's here on youtube and on bandcamp, "Water Flea" by Purusha & Nobukazu Takemura)

  • btw, is that actual music video? i dont think so O_o

  • @MrBratkenSolov

Yes, it's the actual music video. In fact, the credits roll at the very end.

  • i got 21 of his releases... but in mp3. PM for link

  • THis is some of the weirdest shit ever!!

  • she's wide open

  • Isn't this cute!

  • Must have.

  • Kraftwerk?

  • What a trip!

  • It's just like the game Fantasy Zone for the old SEGA Genesis!

  • i need the lyrics!

  • haha leave it to the japanese to take glitch music this literally

  • What

  • idk, that comment made sense when i wrote it tho

  • I enjoyed the comment even though I don't understand it lol

  • where tha fuack can i find the EP???i need to walk listening to this song..takemura is too great

    i recommend 10th!

  • amazon has the disc and an MP3 version (mp3 version doesn't have this video with it.)

  • cheers to nabukazu takemura for making something imaginative and poingnant

  • Oh this song is so good, but this video is SO pointless and effed up. It's a crazy mess. BUT I LOVE THE VIDEO SO MUCH!!!!!

  • POINTLESS?... watch it until you think that the message here is people need to live in symbiosis with nature and the greed of a few can destroy all beauty and bounty for all the rest that would be the happy citizens of earth

  • This was the first Takemura track I stumbled upon some years ago. Still love the cut up rolls and overlaps of sound. Also fun to hear the old electro breaks being used to effect. Much fun!

  • I love this music video!

  • piękne

  • Reaaaaally good video.

  • The Evil Illuminati must be DESTROYED!!

  • That too... and kewl track.

  • no it aint

  • oh i have this somewhere! it's two-cd set. other songs on the record are great as well. thanks for upping this.

  • great song

  • Try listening to music from every country/nation-state and then, music that comes from each city/village/hamlet from each state.

  • @JMames That would take a lifetime!! Shit I better get started! Fuck!

  • this song fucking blew my mind

  • Comment removed

  • Is the song on 8:15 also on the Sign EP?

  • No, that part is only with the video. The EP version ends where it fades out.

  • With this, I now listen music from all continents!

    North-America: Venetian Snares, Holy Fuck

    South-America: Amon Tobin

Europe: Radiohead, Sigur Rós, Aphex Twin,

    Portishead

    Afrika: Afrika Bambaataa

    Asia: Nobukazu Takemura

    Oceania: Pendulum

    Hmm I love it!!!

  • you are mistaken, this is not music from this world.

  • u're right. there are few musicians like takemura =)

  • aww! great taste!

  • What about Antarctica? XD~

  • Antarkus!

  • hope this is a joke! would be a good one, cause it's ridiculous to congratulate yourself. I mean shit, Afrika Bambataa is from NYC, not Africa. Amon Tobin is not based in South America- I had no idea he was originally from there. most of those use English as their language and aim their music at a N Am/W Euro indie audience more than anything. Nobukazu is the LEAST like that, which still isn't saying that much. so pitiful to have *only* him to represent the music of Asia, half the world's pop..

  • Good taste in music. But, most of the music that you are referring to has more a sound originating from Europe and the United States, as that is where the IDM/Electronica genre originated from decades ago.

Try listening to more ethnic music like Ravi Shankar, for example. Then, I will be more impressed. In today's age there is not much anything out of the ordinary about listening to music simply wrote in other continents. Most people do, perhaps without even thinking about it.

  • idm is from england

  • your from a woman

  • This is really brilliant. I love it!

  • This song is so beautiful

  • what is the music ?

  • Artist: Nobukazu Takemura

    Song: "Sign"

Album - Hoshi No Koe or the Sign EP (which is an enhanced disc that has this video on it.)

    Enjoy!

  • @uploadexplode hard question...

  • fuck this man is amazing!

  • Ooh, I like this one. Strangely captivating in a hypnagogic way. Especially since I haven't slept much lately...

  • yea the ending was the best, i lol'd

  • Great video! Unrealistic ending.

  • Adam and Joe used a clip of this song for their show, Adam and Joe Go Tokyo. Cool.

  • @sunlightleak That's where I recognised it from!

  • You have a new fan, gorgeous

  • This is all very Joe Zawinul. I love it.

  • Nagyonjo:)

  • I think I saw a different video for this song once. I recall something about a kid and some water in a sink.

  • man... this shit is so trippy...

  • takemura is a genius. beautiful visual work to go with such a beautiful song.

  • This video was actually on Muchmusic one time, way back in the day!

  • in the end squashed slugs and bleep drone. ymmmm

  • and where's the unsettling part? it's so fuzzy lovely

  • WHAT IS THIS! did nobukazu takemura make this? if so, why did he ruin my faith in him?

  • It's the video for Sign, which comes with the Sign EP (highly recommended btw...there's a great remix called "Meteor" as well as a huge Tortoise/Nobukazu collaboration track...30 minutes of surprisingly well structured bliss.)

  • i knew it was a video for sign. I love the song so looked for the video, but was dissappointed when it turned out to be... um... unsettling?

  • this is frikkin hillarious!

  • LSD? actually the first time i heard this song, i actually pictured something like this. he's pretty good, a mix of japanese folk, glitch, jazz, and pop. yum.

  • dios nobu es... es simplemente dios! :D

  • El amor y la sabiduría vencen al neoliberalismo gracias a la hermandad entre robots, humanos mutantes y animales.

    Estupendo.

  • Thats amazing, I love it

  • o.o;???

    What just happened?

  • congratulations to the synth manufacturer

  • oh, eehhmm. I.. I'm a bit... confused.
