@timebandit71 So he was Adric should not have been blown up, and his demise was much greater and also more poignant than Gan's demsie in Blake's seven.

What I thought was interesting with the character is that he got along so well with the Doctor when he was still in his 4th incarnation, but their relationship went sour when the Doctor regenerated, while in the end decided they needed to let bygones be bygones but never got started because of Adric's death which was shown to have bothered the Doctor when he started to regenerate again.

Adric was a great character unfortunately his character was wrongly changed from what he part was suppose to be after Tom Baker left the role he was suppose to be a younger copy of the Doctor adventurous enqusitive loyal the only thing they left was the loyal part when Peter Davidson took over they had too many companions and Adric was written as a brat rather than a young adventurer
