  • 5:18 there's a smiley face on the wall

  • please look up real story before you watch this... this was ment to be the shortend more entertaining version of The Tell Tale Heart no insult torwds the makers of this toon but please see the real story before you watch this i in fact pride myself on the memorization of the entire original story but since i have only 138 characters left i can not type it out.

  • i never like readings but this one really strikes me.. so mysterious and yet very captive..i shall say that this might be one of the most entertaining, horor story i have read.

  • You have a misleading description. Though you say it's a "revision," you don't state that your animation is matched to the soundtrack of the 1953 UPA version, with narration by actor James Mason. They should be credited by you, or you some viewers will think you are responsible for the whole thing.

  • @DrunkenSeveredHead read the credits at the end.

  • @edwin2517 lol what a ediot huh?

  • @DrunkenSeveredHead i like how you got pwned.. patience my friend, patience

  • 0:38 - 0:48 JTHM rip!!

  • I think it's scary!!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!

  • Sweet animation! I also did a class project and what we had to was depict a line from a scene of movie, story or a poem and I choose The Tell Tale Heart by Edger Allan Poe and I passed!^^ (I just felt like sharing^^)

  • My favorite line is "I could feel the earth turning" awesome job

  • this is scary! *cries*

  • i love this so good

  • James Mason! What a find! My favorite Poe story. Thanks!

  • great animation! but lol at 5:48. the face he pulls!!

  • i love this. i love the enthuseasm of the narrarator and I love the animations and facial expressions toward the end as the man begins to lose his mind.

  • Sorry...One cannot use the audio from the original film (which, btw, why haven't you credited James Mason acting VO here?...Trying to pass it off as your own isn't really a good thing.) and try to slap it on to amateurish imagery... Just doesn't work...

  • brilliant! i love it =]

  • This is one of my favorite stories by Poe. Very creepy, very disturbing.... I think you nailed it.

  • 5 stars i luved it bravo to the director, narrator nd lastly the genius that came up with the idea of such an epic story

  • one of my favorite stories

  • I love Poe!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The audio is taken from the 1954 animated film by UPA Productions and released by Columbia Pictures. The voice is the late actor, James Mason. Nice animation, though.

  • i was confused in the middle but when i found out what was happening it sent chills up my spine, the fact that he was in the room in the dark for an hour straight and the old man sensed it and was scared so bad you could hear his heart race until it drove the other so insane he killed the old man!

  • Awesome!

  • This video was amazing!!! I'm a big fan of Poe. Mainly three thought this, the raven, and the bells

  • im VERY impressed!!! good animations ( especially the funny face the crazy guy made in 6:24 - 6:33 ) <--- HILARIOUS!!!

  • 5:17

    awesome face picture

    really?

why would you put the awesome face

    in an edgar allen poe

the poet who was renwoned for being depressing and you put a freaking smiley face in the room?!

  • i love this.. i read the story ..but this makes it better'

  • Very good animation dude! Looks kinda like Invader Zim!

  • My teacher showed us this in class and I loved it so much! :D

  • Love this!

  • metoo, i love poe

  • I swear Edgar Allan Poe is a genius(:

  • Ah, it's the narration from the 1970s Columbia animation. The style is similar, too. I really like this one, though.

  • Good job primo

  • I think this is the best audio recitation of the storie I've heard yet and the animation is awesome too

  • I love the tell tale heart.. I also loved Vincent Price's recitation of it..

    job well done :)

  • lol, 5:38.one of his eye's an octagon

  • lol @ the awesomeface

  • LOOK AT 5:17 THERES A SMILEY ON THE WALL

  • @SouthSideDummer i never nosticed the smiley face on the wall

  • @SouthSideDummer it awesome face

  • This is ridiculous. It steals the audio from one of the finest pieces of animation ever made (the original 1950's UPA cartoon version of the story) and replaces said brilliant animation with this garbage. Skip this and watch the original. It's on Youtube, and it's simply brilliant.

  • Though your comment is welcome here I would like to just say please let people decide for themselfs about it. So far I have gotten nothing but praise for this. Also the audio wasn't "Stolen". It was issued to me. As you can see the copyright has not shut off the audio. Just wanted to make somethings straight. Thank you for your honesty. -AQ

  • friggin fabulous i love this i read not to lon g ago n class omg i love it great job and to allen poe

  • Hey thank you thank you. Im making my own version of The Raven. So stick around. -AQ

  • hmmm he didnt stab the old man. He tossed the bed upon him

  • So true but it wouldn't be dramatic enough for animation. So I had to adapt. I hope you enjoyed it though. -AQ

  • so in this video version, he ends up in an asylum?

anyway, I read this in class one week ago, truly entertaining! Poe was definitely a man of talent for explicit and suspenseful literature such as this story!

Currently in my english course, we are interpreting different sections of the Raven. Its quite the fun!

  • Yeah, I wanted him to just be crazed with quilt. Made a perfect ending.

Im making The Raven lol so stick around. -AQ

  • my teacher read the story in class

  • Excellent direction/anination!!!! Bravo!

  • Wow thank you so much. -AQ

  • A masterpiece with great animation!

  • Hey thanks alot! -AQ

  • We're playing the music for this in orchestra :)

    I loved seeing the video

  • i love dark stuff. i draw too. my inspiration is tim burton. i just love his style

  • Amazing Job!

So far in all the videos of the tell tale heart I've seen, everyone has put their own twist in the story. You've not only twisted it (in a good way, I mean) but you've also made some very good visuals to go along with it.

I must say you're very talented.

Excellent job again! Thanks for for making my time.

  • O_o I like your art style! Inspired by Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, I see!

  • Pause at 5:47

It looks like something you'd see in Invader Zim.

In fact, you could say that about a lot of this artwork...

  • amazing animation

  • Thank you.-AQ

  • Whoa, you have an eye for film-making good job!

  • no pun intended?

  • Definitely no pun intended.

Tell Tale Heart is pretty interesting. As an Adult I find the story more creepy than ever mainly because the man is trying to prove his sanity when clearly killing an old man because his eye looks repulsive is definitely an indicator of insanity!

I admit I would be repulsed by such a vulture eye that I would move.

  • i think we all would. i had to write a research paper once proving he was insane.

  • hahaha thanks...its actually my job right now. Glad Im doing something right.-AQ

  • One of my favorite Edgar Allen Poe stories!

  • Oooh i've read the Tell Tale Heart many many times...more than i can recall but this sent chills up my spine anyway! Very very well done :D

  • thanks...its much creepier with the lights out and the volume maxed out.-AQ

  • That's awesome, you really created the suspense in this retelling of the classic story. :) Great job with this!

  • Thanks means alot-AQ

  • Really nice work, James Mason's narration and your animation just go perfectly together.

  • Yeah I love James Mason and glad I have some of his work with mine.-AQ

  • OMG!!!you are a genious!!!

I was scared and the voice and the crazy face of the man that is great!!!

  • Thanks so much. Im so happy YOU liked it.-AQ

  • 4:11

He reminds me a little of the picture of Nny from JTHM.

  • I WAS scared til I saw what looked to be the lol face at 5:18!

  • Other then that its very well put! 5/5 and fav. ^^

  • Oh wow thats so awesome that you caught that!! LOL I put that in as a personal joke. I think that emoticon is hilarious. Im very pleased that you paid really close attention to my film.

  • Who animated the video? The animation looks a bit like like Jhonen Vasquez, which is why I ask.

  • I animated it. Thats not the first time I heard that. I've heard that my style is like Jhonen Vasquez and Tim Burton combined. Or something like that...I dunno. I just do what I do
