How is that greed? They aren't making any of my money because I refuse to use ATMs that charge fees. Even with my ING direct account that reimburses fees, I won't like Chase charge ING direct because it all comes out of my pocket eventually. If anything, Chase would be smart to charge 50 cents or something like that, maybe I'd actually pay them the fee if it's worth it.
@Marketing614 Yes, but ATM fees are avoidable. If anything, I wish they charged more in ATM fees and overdraft fees so that the bank can makes it money there instead of in the form of higher interest, which is generally less avoidable.
@FortNikitaBullion But there gonna start charging you more to withdraw at the bank too...and more fees from overdrafting too.......USA is in debt, they owe china a lot of money china and those international banks....so they target us to pay them by raising prices for everything, i went to the ATM today and on the screen it said "we will charge a $3.00 fee" i looked on my debit card and i was charged $5.00 SMH..........Its going to be a WW3 right here in america and the GOV knows that....
At first I like what you're saying. But after watching khanacademy's fractional banking system explanation, just search on youtube fractional banking system. I realize that all along we've been lied to. Now the banks are just starting to be honest. They've been promising us security that basically they could not provide. What? If we all want our money out from them are they going to pay us with shreads of land certificates?
Firstly, I do bank with Chase, but it sounds like other banks will follow Chase's lead if this is rolled out nationwide. Since most ATM cards are also debit cards now, I never need to use non-Chase ATMs. However, if i did need cash and could not find a Chase ATM, I would keep an eye out for locations with "cashback" options at their checkouts. Home Depot, supermarkets, etc.
I use rbc and at an ATM they charge 3 dollars and then my bank charges me another 3 dollars so thts like fuck man they just screwed me with my pants on
