Alkaline Ionized Water cannot be created by simply dropping a pill into a glass of water. Do not be fooled! The water must be filtered and IONIZED in order to get the real product. Know what ORP means! Alkaline Ionized Water is the closesest to science's version of the fountian of youth.
@oleedee When you say good water are you referring to ionized water? There is actually one bottled water that is alkaline and that is Fiji water. It is on the high end of bottled water but if you do put pH drops in it the water will turn blue or purple instead of orange or red like the water by Coca-ColaTM, DasaniTM.
@frank0067 Most water ionizers have a charcoal filter or carbon block to remove chlorine. If you want to remove the fluoride from your water you will need to install a separate filter.

Interesting presentation. You covered all the facts quite well. From what I understand and the research I have done, the Enagic unit is by far the best unit out there. It produces Kangen water (from 2.5 pH to 11.5 pH) consistently. It is the only unit that can.
@erikafergg - I would have to respectfully disagree. I have a Jupiter Orion Water Ionizer and after 4 years I still get the pH and an ORP of -450. I know a friend with an Enagic that did not hold up as well and they have to add a solution to get the numbers to where they have them... If you add Calcium to anything you will get a better pH. I do not add anything to my machine. Just have to change the filter every 6 months.

@Met0llicA Bottled water can actually be the same as tap water although it is pasteurized before put into a plastic bottle. It can be spring water, which in some cases is better than your tap water but it can also be the other way as well. All things need to be considered.
Good demonstration, but sadly, here's a fact not included, the rich negative ORP values drop fast over time ... and even faster when the water is moving. I fed -300mv ORP water through a water dispenser for a minute and the value dwindled to -116. This "weakening" continues in your body after you drink it.
So a) you have to drink ionized water fresh and b) you need to drink a lot of it before the accumulated results have any positive effects.

@billwynne I've gotten -700mv out of my cheap $400 no name ionizer, if you drink it fast. The voltage drops rapidly to about 350mv after just a few minutes. I don't see how water will keep a -450mv charge after a month, let alone for four years unless it is a huge volume (many gallons worth) or without a strong buffer added.
@sownzgr8 You misunderstood the years comment. The 4 years reference is to the age of my ionizer. I was complementing Jupiter for making an Ionizer that lasts so long and holds its value despite what some companies may say about them.
Like I said, I have poured my water and gone to bed and around 8 hours later there is very little loss of ORP. I do not use calcium injection or anything in my ionizer.

@belagiorgo - I have not heard of this curing colon cancer. In the video it is clear that the colon was cleaner but cancer, depending upon the stage should be taken seriously and dealt with as a physician sees best.
We have used an Enagic Sun-Us model for about 7 months now. It produces acidic water and the Alkaline water up to 9.5. I have dealt with migraine headaches for a number of years. Dr. prescribes Maxalt and it use to take an hour or more to begin working. I now take it with my Enagic Alkaline water and I can feel the Maxalt begin working in about 20 minutes. By no means recommending this for anyone, but I do know what a difference it's made for me in dealing with migraines.
@Penokio77 - Enagic produces alkaline water like the other brand names that exist, Jupiter, Ionways, Tyent, Alkalux, etc... Keep in mind that the Enagic water ionizer is part of a MLM company and so the price is highly inflated to pay out all the commissions on the unit. Enagic makes good machines but there is a lot of hype about them that I don't find to be valid. The cost of the machine is buying you the opportunity to sell them.
The Jupiter Science 'Orion' JP109 water ionizer is the best in my oppinion. It costs USD $1,895 and it's worth every cent. You can bet your house I'll be getting one as soon as I have the funds. Alkaline Water is a wonder and a gem. So glad to have become aware of it.

the reason i am asking this is because i want to know if it is safe to drink for long term consumption. there is so many lies about water, and i have yet to find any scientific study's proving it is safe for long term consumption, but i have also not found any that prove it is bad.

There are always precautions to give the strong alkaline water to babies, pregnant or nursing women as well as people with medications. I have never heard of someone experiencing anything as unfortunate as you stated but it could be possible. The effects are not from the water but from the medication. Alkaline water eliminates toxins and that was the problem. What I have read is that a number of hours should pass after taking medications before drinking the alkaline water.

It is great but very well done comparisons with ORP meters on the same tap with 4 or 5 different machines can show that Enagic has some serious competition. I feel it will come down to price for a lot of people.

Sure you can although I have tested it with mine own ORP meter. The longer alkaline water sits it loses it's hydroxide benefits as an anti-oxidant. I would definitely want mine fresh for drinking and we cook only with alkaline water as well. Maybe you can find it cheaper than me but I have heard of it selling for $4-5 a gallon. There is only one company that makes Kangen Water. The company is Enagic. All the others are cheap imitations. Do your research! Enagic is the company they are taking about in most of these videos.
Comparisons between water ionizers regarding pH and ORP have shown that Enagic's machines perform well but that some units were more powerful for the cost. They all produce varying levels of alkaline water for a period of time. Some of the cost factor is the length of time the machine is expected to last. I personally have had a Jupiter Orion Water Ioninizer for about 4 years and it has lost some of it's power but can still pull a 10 and a negative 250.
A consistent 8 would not be bad. The ORP should be close to 0, which is good. The lower the ORP even into the negatives would be more important perhaps because it is what counts as an antioxidant power.
That is not the same as the alkaline water. I would not do what you are doing unless you need immediate relief from a peptic ulcer. They are not the same chemically...

There is a natural opposition to aging by most people. I think the point would be if you were able to not live longer but have a better quality of health and life to the end. Speaking sarcastically, "You would not consider living the last 10 years of your life in a nursing home or bed quality would you?" It is all about quality of life and it it is extended that is a bonus.
I would say that you are better off to simply call it Alkaline water or ionized water. I would get a machine to get it right from your own tap. That is the most economical way to do it.

@IonizedWaterGuru - I believe the Enagic products are good quality but cannot justify spending $4000 on an ionizer. Since it is an MLM company they are paying out in some cases as much as $2000 in commissions. So really they could sell the ionizers the same price as others but their marketing plan causes them to raise the price. What I know is that my Jupiter Orion is around 5 years old now and continues to put out a -450 ORP without any kind of solution being added unlike Enagic machines.
It's merely high alkaline water, you can make it yourself with a water ionizer which uses electricity to separate the acid and alkaline water, also snow melt and glacial melt is hexagonal (molecule shape) water. Tap water and rain water is pentagonal shaped and acidic. There are also high alkaline water drops and yes all the claims are true, it's simple chemistry. Kangen is merely a brand name, it's just high alkaline water.

@marshall2411 - I would have to recommend that you research this online. I would suggest that the sphincter on the bottom of the stomach to the small intestine will allow water to pass right though since there are no fats, proteins or sugars that need to be digested first. In this case the water does not remain in the stomach. As I have said though, I believe the real value is the ORP and not the alkalinity per se.
I would like to know the name of a unit for $200 that did as well as a $1000 unit. I have seen them vary from unit to unit from $1000 to $1400 and then up to $1800. Any testing that is done should be done on the same tap with the same ORP meter. Thanks
I have not heard of the items you are suggesting but there are units out there that will do that. I suggest making sure they work by looking for research or by getting an ORP meter to measure the water.
I am very lucky Bcuz just aroun the corner..Theres a water place where i get my daily water. At first i wood just go N get my 3 big 5gallon bottles filled up wit just regular water...Til' 1 day the guy there showed me a machine he had just bought. He told me all about it, even gave me the DVD that came with it. He got it for his business but he tells me that he uses it for personal use more than anything else. The alkalinity of water is not produced by an additional element. It is produced by the process of ionization. Baking soda can be used in severe cases of stomach acidity but should not be used regularly. It is not good for the blood.
I have not heard of the stick. When you say Hydrogen Rich I think you are talking about the ORP. Oxidation Reduction Potential. This is the ability of the water to serve as an antioxidant in the body. Does that sound familiar?

You really don't know, but they do let you try 5 gallons for free if you bring your own containers. I think the water is $2 a gallon, which is probably what you pay in a store for a bottle.
Scientific evidence is mounting that alkaline ionized water is better for the body. Water like this occurs naturally in nature but most people get their water from the city and the process that it goes through taking away the natural properties of good water.
The Hunza people that are known for longevity drink from streams and rivers that come from glacial melt. Whether the water is alkaline from the glacier or from the mineral content of the rocks and stones that the water passes over I am not sure. The only thing I have heard of it being dangerous for is people on certain medications and for vegetarians since a vegetarian diet promotes alkalinity in the body. A vegetarian would want to be cautious as to how much they drink and at what pH.

The reason I posted these videos is because of my experience with ionized alkaline water. I first tried it at a friends house in California. I immediately felt the difference and a lot of people experience a detox of the bowel so-to-speak when they first start drinking this water. It varies from brand to brand. Dasani for example is acidic. The best brand of bottled water that I have tested is Fiji. Because it is artisan water and passes through volcanic rock it comes out alkaline. There are more and more stores carrying machines that put out alkaline water on the spot.
Yes most bottled water are acidic. But when you are drinking bottled water you are also drinking the plastic. The water needs to come from a BPA approved bottle in order to get the best water.

Yes your body can be too alkaline. It is called Alkalosis which is the opposite of Acidosis, the body being too acidic. Make sure you work close with your physician since you are a diabetic.

Biggest cause of cancer and heart disease and diabetes, is the acidic environment that we allow in our bodies and the top offenders ARE prescription & non prescription drugs, tap water-(chlorine fluoride) soda pops(including diet sodas) sugar & sugar supplements, chemically laden supermarket products,junk food.
Alkaline ionized water is great, best thing I ever spent money on. I am virtually off my inhaler, lots of my health problems have gone away, I have more energy and feel great. It may seem like a lot of money, but nobody can put a price on your own health.

We have used an Enagic Sun-Us model for about 7 months now. It produces acidic water and the Alkaline water up to 9.5. I have dealt with migraine headaches for a number of years. Dr. prescribes Maxalt and it use to take an hour or more to begin working. I now take it with my Enagic Alkaline water and I can feel the Maxalt begin working in about 20 minutes. By no means recommending this for anyone, but I do know what a difference it's made for me in dealing with migraines.

@Penokio77 - Enagic produces alkaline water like the other brand names that exist, Jupiter, Ionways, Tyent, Alkalux, etc... Keep in mind that the Enagic water ionizer is part of a MLM company and so the price is highly inflated to pay out all the commissions on the unit. Enagic makes good machines but there is a lot of hype about them that I don't find to be valid. The cost of the machine is buying you the opportunity to sell them.

The Jupiter Science 'Orion' JP109 water ionizer is the best in my oppinion. It costs USD $1,895 and it's worth every cent. You can bet your house I'll be getting one as soon as I have the funds. Alkaline Water is a wonder and a gem. So glad to have become aware of it.

3. have you had any adverse reactions to it?
the reason i am asking this is because i want to know if it is safe to drink for long term consumption. there is so many lies about water, and i have yet to find any scientific study's proving it is safe for long term consumption, but i have also not found any that prove it is bad.

2. I have been drinking it for about 4 1/2 years.
3. I have not had any problems at all.
I don't know of any problems with it at all and I know more and more friends that are using the water and are very happy with it. It is one thing that people are buying in this down economy.

There are always precautions to give the strong alkaline water to babies, pregnant or nursing women as well as people with medications. I have never heard of someone experiencing anything as unfortunate as you stated but it could be possible. The effects are not from the water but from the medication. Alkaline water eliminates toxins and that was the problem. What I have read is that a number of hours should pass after taking medications before drinking the alkaline water.

Your body will maintain homeostasis by regulating it's pH levels in the gut so long as you are well hydrated - preferably with purified water. However, If you want alkaline water with high antioxidant potential, try washing down a vitamin C tablet with alka seltzer dissolved in purified drinking water.

There are some that think "Kangen Water" is synonomus with Alkaline Water,but Documentation replaces Conversation. Kangen Water is a registered trademark and the Kangen Ionizers are approved medical devices in Japan for over 35 years. They are the ONLY ionizers that can produce Kangen Water. Raw green veggie juice is more valuable than alkaline ionized water but it would be very expensive to drink it like water, you can't make your tea, coffee or cook with it and the acid water from the ionizer provides a non-toxic cleanser for your home.

I was made aware of Why Alkaline Water Could Help My Health after I became seriously ill with a blood condition, to where I could not walk fifty feet without having to take a break.

It is great but very well done comparisons with ORP meters on the same tap with 4 or 5 different machines can show that Enagic has some serious competition. I feel it will come down to price for a lot of people.

Sure you can although I have tested it with mine own ORP meter. The longer alkaline water sits it loses it's hydroxide benefits as an anti-oxidant. I would definitely want mine fresh for drinking and we cook only with alkaline water as well. Maybe you can find it cheaper than me but I have heard of it selling for $4-5 a gallon. At that rate It would be expensive for me, we must use 4 gallons a water a day for drinking and cooking and cleaning. A good ionizer will cost about $1200, my rate 60days

Comparisons between water ionizers regarding pH and ORP have shown that Enagic's machines perform well but that some units were more powerful for the cost. They all produce varying levels of alkaline water for a period of time. Some of the cost factor is the length of time the machine is expected to last. I personally have had a Jupiter Orion Water Ioninizer for about 4 years and it has lost some of it's power but can still pull a 10 and a negative 250.

A consistent 8 would not be bad. The ORP should be close to 0, which is good. The lower the ORP even into the negatives would be more important perhaps because it is what counts as an antioxidant power.

it takes an engineer to understand this GUY IS KANGEN ALL other machines can say cheaper,nothing is the sAme. smaller motors , less platinum, sprayed on mesh, flakes off will kill you. There is a natural opposition to aging by most people. I think the point would be if you were able to not live longer but have a better quality of health and life to the end. Speaking sarcastically, "You would not consider living the last 10 years of your life in a nursing home or bed quality would you?" @IonizedWaterGuru - I believe the Enagic products are good quality but cannot justify spending $4000 on an ionizer. Since it is an MLM company they are paying out in some cases as much as $2000 in commissions. So really they could sell the ionizers the same price as others but their marketing plan causes them to raise the price. What I know is that my Jupiter Orion is around 5 years old now and continues to put out a -450 ORP without any kind of solution being added unlike Enagic machines.

It's merely high alkaline water, you can make it yourself with a water ionizer which uses electricity to separate the acid and alkaline water, also snow melt and glacial melt is hexagonal (molecule shape) water. Tap water and rain water is pentagonal shaped and acidic. There are also high alkaline water drops and yes all the claims are true, it's simple chemistry. Kangen is merely a brand name, it's just high alkaline water.

@marshall2411 - I would have to recommend that you research this online. I would suggest that the sphincter on the bottom of the stomach to the small intestine will allow water to pass right though since there are no fats, proteins or sugars that need to be digested first. In this case the water does not remain in the stomach. As I have said though, I believe the real value is the ORP and not the alkalinity per se.

I would like to know the name of a unit for $200 that did as well as a $1000 unit. I have seen them vary from unit to unit from $1000 to $1400 and then up to $1800. Any testing that is done should be done on the same tap with the same ORP meter. Thanks

I am very lucky Bcuz just aroun the corner..Theres a water place where i get my daily water. At first i wood just go N get my 3 big 5gallon bottles filled up wit just regular water...Til' 1 day the guy there showed me a machine he had just bought. He told me all about it, even gave me the DVD that came with it. He got it for his business but he tells me that he uses it for personal use more than anything else. The alkalinity of water is not produced by an additional element. It is produced by the process of ionization. Baking soda can be used in severe cases of stomach acidity but should not be used regularly. It is not good for the blood.

The Hunza people that are known for longevity drink from streams and rivers that come from glacial melt. Whether the water is alkaline from the glacier or from the mineral content of the rocks and stones that the water passes over I am not sure. You can also search medline and you will find an article about Spirulina growing in the alkaline waters of South America.

The only thing I have heard of it being dangerous for is people on certain medications and for vegetarians since a vegetarian diet promotes alkalinity in the body. A vegetarian would want to be cautious as to how much they drink and at what pH.

The reason I posted these videos is because of my experience with ionized alkaline water. I first tried it at a friends house in California. I immediately felt the difference and a lot of people experience a detox of the bowel so-to-speak when they first start drinking this water. At the same time I had a friend in Hawaii that lost weight when he started drinking this water. I bought a unit and put it in m house. It varies from brand to brand. Dasani for example is acidic. The best brand of bottled water that I have tested is Fiji. Because it is artisan water and passes through volcanic rock it comes out alkaline. There are more and more stores carrying machines that put out alkaline water on the spot.

Yes most bottled water are acidic. But when you are drinking bottled water you are also drinking the plastic. The water needs to come from a BPA approved bottle in order to get the best water.

Biggest cause of cancer and heart disease and diabetes, is the acidic environment that we allow in our bodies and the top offenders ARE prescription & non prescription drugs, tap water-(chlorine fluoride) soda pops(including diet sodas) sugar & sugar supplements, chemically laden supermarket products,junk food.

Alkaline ionized water is great, best thing I ever spent money on. I am virtually off my inhaler, lots of my health problems have gone away, I have more energy and feel great. It may seem like a lot of money, but nobody can put a price on your own health.

Amen brotha. I too am a proud owner of these bad boys. I have Enagic and have stopped drinking sodas for 4 years now. Never going back.

They are great machines if you can afford them. Their units have gotten more reasonable over the years. Glad to hear of your "conversion" to water over the pops.
