Sting has openly said that the WWE schedule wouldnt suit him. he has flexibility with TNA. one of his other issues is creative control. he wont just put his character in the hands of the WWE & let them do as they please. i dont blame him at all for that. besides, i think Sting feels he has more purpose where he is. he wants to help the company and the talent. he's doing what is right, not what sounds good to him. As much as I'd mark out if I saw Sting come out to a WWE ring, I can honestly say that I respect Sting for sticking to his morals and not going to the WWE. I realize that in his words he just doesn't want to have to work at a more rigorous pace, but I think that Sting would feel like he betrayed a part of himself if he went to the WWE. I'm just thankful that we have an archive like the internet to reflect on in terms of his greatest ring work.

@Allapattahgoon if you take bischoff at his word, that's not entirely true. he had a group of investors ready to buy wcw (for more than what Vince was going to pay), but wwe was legally entitled to first dibbs basically. i think wwf's broadcasters didn't want to go for it initially, so bischoff retried to buy it, which is when time warner canceled the show. then bischoff bowed out. i've never understood why. like it would have been so hard to find a new broadcaster.

Sting has openly said that the WWE schedule wouldnt suit him. he has flexibility with TNA. one of his other issues is creative control. he wont just put his character in the hands of the WWE & let them do as they please. i dont blame him at all for that. besides, i think Sting feels he has more purpose where he is. he wants to help the company and the talent. he's doing what is right, not what sounds good to him. As much as I'd mark out if I saw Sting come out to a WWE ring, I can honestly say that I respect Sting for sticking to his morals and not going to the WWE. I realize that in his words he just doesn't want to have to work at a more rigorous pace, but I think that Sting would feel like he betrayed a part of himself if he went to the WWE. I'm just thankful that we have an archive like the internet to reflect on in terms of his greatest ring work.

@Allapattahgoon if you take bischoff at his word, that's not entirely true. he had a group of investors ready to buy wcw (for more than what Vince was going to pay), but wwe was legally entitled to first dibbs basically. i think wwf's broadcasters didn't want to go for it initially, so bischoff retried to buy it, which is when time warner canceled the show. then bischoff bowed out. i've never understood why. like it would have been so hard to find a new broadcaster.

Sting is really stupid. I dont think he realizes that WWE basically already owns him. Not that they should use that to blackmail him but look at it. They own all of the WCW video library. Meaning that he wont have acesss to anything he did pre-TNA. If A sting DVD comes out, all your gonna get is the watered down Sting that was in TNA. He could at least come and do 3 matches and cut a few promos. Then just let WWE retire him into the Hall of Fame

had sting arrived in wwe after the invasion, he may have got a push for a limited period. goldberg, steiner and booker all had runs to the title around then. there was no way sting would have came for the last wrestlemania. firstly he would have to job to taker, theres no way one of wwes most dominant guys would lose to an old wcw guy. secondly the kids in the audience would have no idea who sting was. pity it didnt happen 2002-2005 but not now.

Flair NEEDED to retire from WWE. He can;t wrestle anymore. Flair's style is long been dead and he can;t do squat except strut and bleed. Even Sting is now limited in the ring. These old Legends need to step aside. Hogan does it right. He doesn't wrestle except for upcoming bound for glory which will be a very boring match.

It would be pretty cool to see him fight in WWE on an irregular basis, like 'Taker himself. I kind of admire Sting for sticking to his guns and not going over to WWE but I wonder if those days of "McMahon burying WCW guys" are over. I don't work at WWE so I can't answer that, of course. I'll jump on the bandwagon and say that the picture in this video is absolutely BAWS.

@sorcero12 WCW was PG during its best years, but they managed to make their product interesting and fun to watch despite the restrictions Ted Turner put on them. WWE is more concerned with appealing to children and women, and it will stay that way as long as WWE keeps its big contract with Mattell and Linda remains interested in politics. Sting is last aspect of Vince McMahon's major competition that he has not conquered.

Also lets not forget that WWF did win at the end. But remember the Monday Nights War last year, Impact vs RAw? Talk about a complete joke! WWE didn't even do anything, and their ratings and viewership stayed the same. On the suggestions side, watch "Sting Explains why he didn't go to WWE". It had nothing to do with "pride".

@DUBtheTIGER I have been a big wrestling fan since then. Sting vs Undertaker has never been a dream match to me. They were in no way counter parts of each other during the late 90s. Undertaker was an evil cult leader and Sting was a Batman-like hero during that time. You WWE marks make me sick.
