I respect the tradition of Islam and realize that much is shared with Judaism and Christianity (and much is different). It is hard to internalize this account of Christ's birth as I recognize Him as God and the Lord of the Prophets. To think of Him as a prophet would negate His existence as God. My problem with the some of the Muslims that I've spoken with in the past is that they were hypersensitive and jumping to conclusions. Like, one time I brought up the subject of Muslim terrorist and this Muslim jumped to conclusions and thought I was calling all Muslims terrorist which I clearly wasn't. this is a different person, it says Harun( the arabic version of Aaron) but you will notice that the name isn't translated into Aaron because that *Aaron (step brother of Moses) is a different person to the brother of Mary, Mary's brother was named after the brother of Moses (*Aaron), also Moses came how many centuries before Mary and Jesus( pbuh), why would they be mentioned in this context?

Yousuf, or joseph as you called him, is not mentioned in these verses of Quran because as Marium (marry) peace be upon her, makes it clear in the begining when she says "how can i have a child when no man has even touch me and am i not unchaset".
secondly, joseph played no role in the up bringing of Prophet Isa (jesus) peace be upon him.
Each and every word that Allah has given to mankind through Quran has a usefull purpose and meanings.

Jesus said that "when you have seen ME you have seen the FATHER". He also said that there is no way to the FATHER but through Him. That is my stance and obviously yours differs. The important thin is PEACE, indeed. Shalom, Salaam, Salem... Jesus was a preist after the order of Melchizedeck (King of Salem) who Abraham even payed homage too. I respect the tradition of Islam and realize that much is shared with Judaism and Christianity (and much is different). It is hard to internalize this account of Christ's birth as I recognize Him as God and the Lord of the Prophets. To think of Him as a prophet would negate His existence as God. May God have mercy on us all. This is a great dramatization, at any rate!

Bakarbabou, to answer your question: no, these are not the faces meant to represent Maryam Um Sayidina Isa, nor is this an image meant to represent the Messenger and Angel of God, Jibrael. It's actually pretty ironic how one can attempt to defend using any images to represent an Angel of Allah, when it is clear that the use of images itself turns away the Angels.

Ok, we do not know what Mary (may Allah be pleased with her) looked, we cannot just assume she looked like that and out of politeness and respect, we should not show nor assume a "likeness" of Mary. This part was unacceptable. We also do not know if Jibrail Alayhe Salam had a black beard and black mustache even though the Qur'an says he appeared to Mary in the likeness of a man. This is highly inappropriate even if the intention is good. Please remove it.
