When you recorded this video, did it appear as a slow playback when you were done recording it? Did you use the Intensity Pro Media Express studio? I've got this card and a beefy computer to handle it, but when I record in 1080i MJPEG, the FPS isn't as fluid as yours is.

@Zaroon115 you do know the 1080p patch they added to IP is only 24 fps which isn't really OWNED. 60 fps from the 720p and 1080i in both pvr and IP is actually better. This coming from an owner of both devices.

Lets do a comparison. the Intensity records in 8-10 Bit uncompressed AVI files, while the Happauge only records in highly compressed TS or MP4 files which leaves out a huge part of the image and color data even before it gets to your computer. Plus, since its uncompressed, video from the Intensity can be edited natively and efficiently while the Happauge video is hard to edit and is slow because editing software hates compressed video.

If the file(s) are larger in size that the amount of RAM you have available on your system and your processor is overwelmed you are going to have a hard time editing the footage.

If upgrading your system specs is NOT an option, then you might want to render down the footage to a more reasonable filesize that your system can handle. Then make your EDITS. Duh.

@LAZZZYSPICE Yes I am an editor lol. The lag is caused by two things. One, the specs of your computer (the amount of ram, speed of the processor) could be too low, and two, the main reason is probably because of the compressed files that the Happauge gives you. Their hard for the computer to process when their like that. If you cant use Sony Vegas to cut clips, you can sometimes use Virtual Dub (another program for videos).

@playinghalotoday I find the output on the Intensity Pro is very blurry, it's almost as bad as standard definition. And I can hear the audio though my PC but you said you can't. Also is there a way to record at a lower fps? My hard drive is fast enough to record 60fps but it's put under constant strain and my processor isn't fast enough. I can only record 35fps in compressed because of my processor and I can record at 60fps in uncompress but that's a waste of HDD.

There are a variety of 3rd party programs to capture footage from the Intensity Pro. You can even use GraphEdit to make a custom graph to record the footage, and you can set the Bitrate to whatever you system can accomodate. GOOGLE is your friend.

And what is the data/rate (MB/s for instance) if using compressed video at it's highest quality (i have a core i7 920 @ 4.0ghz and 6gb ddr3 ram so i can handle it)

Well, you have to options to capture with this Capture Card.

One is with HDMI cables and the other is with the included Break Out Cable (Component).

All you need is a very good computer and a free PCI Slot inthere and a TV that is supporting FullHD 1080p and which has either HDMI or Component.

offline mods are the easiest thing to do, on xbox u need just a transfer cable (no jtag) and on ps3 all u need is a usb, coz its so easy to mod on ps3
