  • -rubs grapes in the guy's face- You go, Vir! <3 he's so cute lol

  • I heart Vir! Go and get that "Spoo for brains!"

  • spoo for brains

  • Oh my god I need to watch this who series again!!!

  • lol the look of pride in Londo!! Priceless....

  • "Vir, what are you doing?"

*grabs sword off wall* "Just need to borrow this, be back in a minute."

Vir, angry, yet casual at the same time.

  • Vir's evolution is amazing throughout the series.

  • @Edohiguma Vir is freaking epic.

  • now he is a man

  • You don't fuck with Vir Cotto.

  • Vir is awesome

  • '''Wanna finish our little conversation spew for brains?'' Good lines for Vir.

  • @michaelhviper Not spew, Spoo.

  • Fairly sure Londo is trying not to double over laughing at that point.

  • Love it!

  • Vir is one of my favorite characters in the series. He plays the role of a good guy caught up and partially trapped in a morally bankrupt system. But he manages to keep his innocence which Londo says he envies him for. In the end Vir is rewarded for his pure heart (or hearts if you can get that) he shows he is not as much of a pushover as everyone thinks him and he climbs the system higher and higher. He evades the Drahk and finally is made Emperor and can bring his people back on track.

  • @LordGodsServant

He also has the most dramatic change of character over the course of the series; in Season 1..he is a _complete_ snivelling, inept worm, to put it kindly.

By the end of the series, he's Yor.

  • @Eldeecue No idea what a Yor is but I agree, like Londo observes in this, he's finally learned to stand up for himself and not take lip from anyone. He's finally ready to take Londo's position.

  • @LordGodsServant

Do a youtube search for "Yor Hunter from the Future"...mostly its the outrageous 70s theme song that's key. : )

  • lol love this

  • Vir sure did have his moments. Mostimes he would be his meek, mild self, but sometimes, when he was super ticked off by something or someone, he would stand up and be unaffraid.

  • For the longest time I wanted to know why my dad named our obese Chihuahua Vir... now I think I know.

  • @KaylaMariexxo I named my Long Wild Haired Chihuahua Londo.

  • Now that was Vir's best moment.

  • Vir is a BAMF. =D

  • Love it!!!! One of the best scene in babylon 5!

  • Londo has a look that says "Today my son is a man!"

    Also, "Spoo for brains." Bwahahahaha

  • One of my many favourite b5 scenes

  • Londo looking proudly at Vir for finally fighting back...awesome

  • GO Vir!!!!

  • @RiceBowlBunny Amen! Vir rules!

  • Simply wonderful!

    I still love this show!!!

  • "Want to finish our little conversation, spoo-for-brains?"

    Big. Time. LOL.

  • Oh yes. Oh YES!

  • Vir goes Postall

  • Ah, Vir... We love you so.

  • *draws sword*

    "Where are you going?"

"I'll be right back, I just have to borrow this for a minute."

  • FTW

  • This makes S5 worth watching.

  • I just love Londos face after Vir's little display. Best grin ever :)

  • woot! go vir!

  • ITS FLOUNDER!

  • yeah, thats why the quiet ones are so scary, we just sit down and take it, right up until we snap, but its really hard to tell how much room you have to push people before they do snap, then chairs start flying and people pull swords.

  • @iamnuff1992 i totally agree with you there, i tell every one leave the quiet ones alone but noooo they dont listen and this is what happens LOL.

  • Looks like I'm not the only Vir fan. :) What a guy.

  • Whoa, Vir lost weight! I'm only up to Season 3, and he's still pretty portly.

  • Stephen Furst was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and lost 80 lbs to save his life, between seasons 3 and 4.

  • Well, good for him! I hope he's all right.

  • Some years ago I met Stephen on a convention in Cologne, Germany (I was there as a con helper), and one evening he spent with a bunch of us guys in the hotel bar (no alcohol for him, due to his diabetes) - he really seems to be a great chap and it was a pleasure talking with him about everything and nothing, just hanging out, having a nice time.

Back then, at least, he was handling himself and the illness pretty well.

I was a fan of him before, and since that evening I'm a BIG fan.

  • Sounds like the actor is as swell a guy as the character.

  • Aw Vir is great :o) I'm a huge fan of his! I've not read the books myself. But I understand he's eventually instrumental in ridding Centuri Prime of the Drahk, after escaping the 'keeper' that was intended for him. What a guy :o))))

  • I must have missed this episode, so I'll definately break out the dvd later later this morning.

  • Londo was really popping his buttons with pride.

Like watching a son go through a rite of passage !!

  • DId Zack comment at the hearing that Londo was like a proud papa

  • It wouldn't surprise me one bit !!!!! Vir had balls under that meek center !

  • Balls of Steel!!!!!

  • damn straight !!! Go, Vir !! Whoo - hoo !!

  • Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • @recarn8 : Too bad we don't have a kick - ass series like B5 now. BSG was great, but B5 got there first. RDM's Galactica used some ideas from B5.

  • @recarn8 Yes, he did.

  • @PeterBluth I thought so but it is further on in the show... I love Vir and Londo.. They were my favs from the start of the show...

  • The quiet guy will usually get revenge in some way or other, & usually enjoys giving back in equal measure.

  • Most people always seem to underestimate the 'little guy'. Push 'em long enough and one day he'll get their revenge ten-fold.

  • It's called " Karma ", & Karma gets kinda punchy..... !!

    I always liked Vir.

  • Your are right brav0wing....I loved Vir... Sometimes Ignorance is bliss and less stressful

  • I always liked Vir and to me he is the real hero of the entire series! I loved his innocent naivete!

How people around Vir thought of him a weak and foolish person just because he was kind, trustworthy, polite and not wanting to hurt anyone or anyone's feelings!

Reminds me of what an old teacher of mine said to me once: "To be good is to be stupid in our days"!

  • good boy

made londo a proud daddy or something

  • 1:07

    'nuff said!

  • "Something i can do for you vir?"

"No i just need to borrow this for a minuet, i'll be right back!"

    haha love it !

  • Which episode is this from. I have the entire series but just can't recall this scene.

  • This is from episode 14 of Season 5, "Meditations on the Abyss."

  • heed this video with caution

never mess with the quiet guy

  • Vir is definitly my favourite character.

Well I also like Marcus, but he's only in the show for, 2 series? or 3?

  • "What happened to Vir?"

"Oh I promoted him. Now, now he is ready to be the ambassador for the Centauri"

    Fantastic 5/5

  • Does anyone know how you rip clips from a dvd like this? i want to make a collection of clips from various episodes a sort of fan vid if you like.

WHAT I DO NOT WANT TO DO is rip the whole dvds and sell them off, which is what the paranoid mindset would have us all believe.

please someone tell me how i can make some clips!? preferably some free software!?

  • What Season is this clip from?

  • Season 5 I think? Londo was preparing to step down as ambassador and step up to a new position. I think this would have been late in the run.

  • yep season 5 episode 14 about half an hour in.

the reason i know is because i just watched it tonight! i've bought the box set of everything B5 and have watched almost all back to back from season 1. i'm just finishing off season 5 now.

There are some important lessons in this show thats for sure!

  • @VengeanceMkII : The final season which, yeah, I think was 5.

  • @VengeanceMkII : definitely season 4 or 5. stephen furst, vir's actor, is looking thinner and zack is wearing the IAS uniform, so it's after garibaldi quit.

  • @VengeanceMkII

Correct. This is from Season 5. I love it soo much, made me laugh very hard!

    "Just need to borrow this..."

    SMASH!

  • @VengeanceMkII season 6. I know because that's the only season I haven't seen.

  • @Jallorn There were only 5 seasons.

  • @a15a12a12a12a12a12 Right, got that mixed up. I think I put 6 because season 4 was originally going to be two seasons.

  • " Wanna discuss this again, spoo for brains! ? ".

Just like a lot of quiet, unassuming guys, if you push him too far, too much, he'll push back & attack your fruit stand with a ceremonial sword..... & smush fruit on you forehead.

  • If I've seen that happen once, I've seen it happen a thousand times.

  • " The meek shall inherit the Earth, but the grumpy get promoted when they show that they can have the nads to stand up when pushed hard enough " !!!!!!!

    Whaddya think ?

  • 0:59 and Londo's "WTF?"-expression..

  • It is awesome.

  • great misunderstanding 1:19 XD

  • Just love how he's so casual... "just need to borrow this for a minute.." XD

  • "What happened to Vir?"

"I promoted him. Now.....now, he is ready to be the Ambassador for the Centauri!"

  • Go Vir!!

  • Bravo, Vir!!!

  • kick his ass Vir!! XD

  • its so funny when vir loses his temper XD

  • NEIDERMEYERRRR!!!

  • Sorry for posting again, on severa videos - but I'm also glad that Vir got his wish of staring up at a headless Morgan in the Royal Palace for the crimes Morgan committed for the Shadows. Gives him a sense of turning into a hardened politician, not the weak minded character he started in season 1.

  • His character certainly did mature through the series. There is a short scene with Vir sitting at the bar with Lennier, drinking a Shirley Temple. I guess he took Dean Wormer's advice. "Fat drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son"

  • Please forgive my correction but his name is Morden, not Morgan.

    Mr. Morden.

  • A small error on my part. Both names sound similar to me, so excuse the mistake. But you're right, it is Morden.

  • @VengeanceMkII Well, to be absolutely precise, a computer graphic in one episode makes it clear he is Dr. Morden.

  • You might have seen his role as "Flounder" in "Animal House" The two characters are alike.

  • I like Vir, although when I first saw the series as it premiered, I didn't much like him. But I'm glad that he changed as the B5 story progressed and has a happy ending as the emporer of the Centauric Republic. After all his bad fortune with Londo, I'm glad he he didn't just disappear into obscurity.

I love how former B5 security chief ends up working forhim also. Shows a bond between the characters that you never expected through the series.

  • This is my favourite scene in B5 ever!

  • Vir should have taken a Titanium brick to that fools dome!

  • Londo: Something I can do for you Vir?

Vir: *Grabs sword* No, just need to borrow this for a minute, be right back.

I love this scene, Londo is the perfect proud father at the end.

  • "perhaps some kind of obscure alien fruit that makes a strange sound when squished?"

    -------------------

Ahhh! ... but to the Centauri , the appearance and sounds of the 'alien grapes' is quite humorous so one must understand that it was actually in fact using the appropraite fruit for the moment ... LOL

Hilarious scene ... the revenge of Vir is as sweet as wine from the grapes on the vine ! HAHA

  • I dunno... I kinda feel the comedy of this scene would have been better served if Vir had squashed a bunch of bananas, or some kiwifruit onto the Drazi's head.

The grapes don't work as well as those would, I think.

  • Yeah I personally think the grapes weren't comedic enough... perhaps some kind of obscure alien fruit that makes a strange sound when squished?

  • i love when vir grabs the sword and says can i borrow this for a mkinuete and ill be right back i almost cried i was laughing so hard

  • Note the look of pride on Londo's face.... :-)

  • Yes! We're all so proud of you, Vir!

    Hahah Londo rules

  • lol, I love Londo standing at the back looking really pleased... :D

  • Spoo-for-brains LOL XD

  • Drazi spy reversing his tune of contempt after Vir thrashes his food stand: priceless.

Zack Allan standing a bit annoyed while Londo boasts proudly of Vir's new diplomatic credentials: more priceless.

  • LMAO! I remember this scene! Vir is so awesome!

  • You know what's really sad?

I've wanted to do something similar.

  • We've all wanted to do something similar.

  • Unsheath's one of Lando's Sword's Just need to borrow this i'll be right back. Then Proceds to hack and slash the foodstand. Babylon 5 is Such a Great show.

  • Just classic... ha ha....

  • LOL Go Vir Go!

  • RAAAAAAAAAH!

  • I absolutely love this scene!! I've seen every episode, but I can't remember which one this is from. Please tell me! :)

  • O.o I can't remember. Most likely in Season 5 after Londo recieved word of him soon to become emperor but far before the Regent dies.

  • Meditations on the Abyss from Season 5

  • great clip.

  • LOL

  • This is a great scene here where Vir Cotto gets pissed off cause of that Drazi insulting him. Vir doesn't take any crap from the Drazi. I think that Vir will make a great ambassador and later on emperor.

  • I love Vir! =D

  • spoo-for-brains! hahahaha

  • I love this scene. He just nonchalantley comes in and takes the sword. Love it.

I really like the one where Londo is attacking that bug in his quarters.

"I need to kill it before it develops language skills."

  • LOL I remember that one too!

  • I just love the look on Londo's face at the very end. He looks so much like a father or older brother! lol!

  • Well Zack did say he looked like a very happy dad.
