Just today (8 January) there was an article in the paper - I saw it online - about the Secret Service detail being upped around Barack Obama, because of the "chatter" on certain websites... I'm glad that Barack is taking this calmly but, for those of us who lived through 1963 & 1968, the fear of it happening again is real and disturbing. I hope he is elected... and that my fears are not realised!
Raised Muslim? Too much Faux news for you? He spend a couple of years when he was 7 at a secular school in Indonesia. If that were the case you should consider everybody that goes to public school in America is being raised a Christian. Learn....Open Mouth. In that order not the other way around.
So when you make a tin foil hat does the shinny side go on the inside or outside? Also people should vote for him because he chose to be a community organizer and because he gets stuff done by seeing things from both sides of the issue.
To Snarkwaupaca: You said, "So when you make a tin foil hat does the shinny side go on the inside or outside?" That's a dumb question, everybody knows the shiny side goes up, that's simple tin foil hat 101
You mean, he needs more experience like bush? Experience is not everything. That's why even the most experineced person in politics will alway have hundreds of advisors. It is the heart of the man that matters. \Meaning, if the man has a desposition to violence, we will have wars, and if the man is desposed towards deplomacy, we will have peace and reestablich our wonderful standing in the world and not be seen as a bully. Over 4000 young americans are dead in iraq coz of bush experience!!
If you do make it through the primaries and win the general election you'd better get some Obama look alikes. Because the racist crosshairs will definitely be focused on you. I know there are still forces that do not want anyone of color, particularly black, to have any semblance of power in this country, or any other for that matter. But good luck to you.
Too Young & inexperienced to lead at this moment. Most middle class & poor understand this.. Maybe next time. But we need leadership now & understanding & Hillary is the answer.
You should be ashamed of yourself. Attacking Obama is not going to move Paul's poll numbers one bit. Save your attacks for Republican primary contenders. Obama said, just like EVERY other candidate, that if there is actionable intelligence that Bin Laden is in Pakistan and Musharaff won't act, that we will. Please do not try to misconstrue his words b/c it benefits noone.
I am glad he talked about threats to his life, I do think that and the apprehension about whether whites will vote a black man into office is the reason a lot in the African American community aren't too quick to back him!

Nothing would be better for America than somebody firmly in the pocket of large corporations. That should fix all the Bush problems.

Yeah I am somewhat afraid for him, especially when I see so many similarities between JFK and Obama. But fear's not getting my vote next year.
