Not to be an asshole but you should inform yourself about our role in the province of Kandahar from 2006-2009, before the surge in American troops. I can tell you that we've been dealing with one of the most hostile shithole in the world pretty much on our own. Guerrila fighting is the worse kind of warfare, agreed.

The US didn't start flowing into the south until recently until then it was just Canadians paroling Kandahar, since it was home of the Taliban and we basically took it from them I think we are fairly good at what we do.

Canadian's single highhandedly took the Taliban home land from them.

Yeah, they tried to pull the same shit on one of my patrol in august 2009, near the village of Salavat. They form horseshoe ambushes and managed to cut us off from our QRF and we had to peel back through waddis under the cover of our artillery. Fortunatly, nobody was wounded.
