This was the Islanders 5th consecutive Stanley Cup Final and it was inevitable that they ran out of gas.The torch had to be passed on sooner or later anyway.

I noticed there is a interesting sound after the Oilers score, does anybody from Edmonton who was there at that time what that sound was. A song or a particular noise?
I'm a die-hard Islander fan, and though that game 5 was difficult to watch, I'll never forget Lafontaine's two quick goals to start the third. Dynasties don't die laying down.

the Islanders were much better than the Edmonton Oilers

@seffkoful You have an arguable point because the Oilers didn't win 4 consecutive Stanley Cups.

This was the only year that I was cheering for the Oilers. If NY had won they would have tied the Habs record of 5 Stanley cups.

One is a CBC television network logo. The little hockey stick/puck is an old Hockey Night in Canada logo.

The logo at 0:04 on the right reminds me of the current Canucks logo (patch). Was that NY`s patch? And on the left was that Oilers?
