GSP naturally weighs 185-190 and cuts weight to 170. He states this pretty clearly when asked about fighting Anderson Silva. He states he doesn't cut a lot of weight (like Silva) because he wants to fight for a long time and big weight cut = bad for body in the long run. Silva is well over 205.
It's called weight cutting. GSP CUTS to 170. Much of that is water weight which he puts back on after weigh ins. GSP probably walks into the ring at 185 minimum, probably closer to 195. 15-25 pounds heavier.

This just further proves how much of an idiot Frank Mir is. They weighed in at nearly the same. BJ used to cut weight to make 170. Since moving to 155 he has moved to around 170 natural. GSP naturally weighs 185-190 and cuts weight to 170. He states this pretty clearly when asked about fighting Anderson Silva. He states he doesn't cut a lot of weight (like Silva) because he wants to fight for a long time and big weight cut = bad for body in the long run. Silva is well over 205.

It's called weight cutting. GSP CUTS to 170. Much of that is water weight which he puts back on after weigh ins. GSP probably walks into the ring at 185 minimum, probably closer to 195. 15-25 pounds heavier.
