Ah Virtual On: Marz, a lot of people don't know about this game, too bad it didn't become more popular. My Japanese version broke, so I ended up getting an English version, but it couldn't load the Jap data, so I ended up replaying all of it ;~;. However, Virtual On: Marz is one of my favourite mech-fighters, and still is. Love it.
There's no trick the turns. It only looks fast because the player is using Temjin a8. Tangram is a lot harder to beat using a character with speed below 6 other than Bal/Specineff. Try beating Tangram with the OT Temjin.
It was, but you didn't have to guess that...^_^;; That being said, I believe that Belldandy's (from Ah! My Goddess) Japanese VA provided the vocals for Tangram, if I recall right. And yes, I'll agree that Tangram is being controlled, so her attacks are against her will.
It is the voice of Belldandy! The voice actress'/seiyu's name is Kikuko Inoue, and you can find her voice in a lot of popular anime over the years like FMA Brotherhood and Code Geass.
After seeing the White Knight VR dash around I agree with you. It does make MARZ seem like VOOT. It really is a shame that all the VR's (even Fei-Yen) are slow as slugs...Maybe the next VO will fix that now that arcade ports aren't difficult to replicate.

The reason why VO-MARZ slow is because based on the story.
All 3rd Generation VR using Crystal that makes the robot low ability but has a great balance

Tangram is actually the easiest battle in the entire game, while the White Knight is the most difficult.

And somehow, I thought that Tangram would be more aggressive here as opposed to its VOOT counterpart. Unfortunately, that isn't quite the case.
