We also have to assume we're talking about education, not indoctrination. Critical thinking would let people empower themselves and not be fooled by any propaganda. It's easier to fool people who don't know better than people who have been educated, you can't deny that. I'd argue more that private schooling brainwashes as it has the profit motivation.

Dreyfuss sounds reasonable here, but him talking about civility is a joke....he was on a radio talk show just a few weeks ago applauding Ed Schultz who wished that Dick Cheney would die and then defended it as civil because he used creative language to express it. What gentlemen. Dreyfuss should actually try taking civics classes on our founders.....you think they'd agree with him? The founders more than anything else beleived in limited government, not the monstousity that he supports.

If freedom had been built on hard work alone rather than hard work and robbery, perhaps there would have grown a greater visceral instinct to preserve it. Like they say: "easy come easy go." Perhaps the freedom of some was achieved too easily on the backs of others, hence becoming more taken for granted and less cherished enough like the rare treasure that it is.
