@maureenOWW The program isn't exactly based on fact. I wouldnt expect it to be given its ridiculously small budget. The point of it is to throw out food for thought and make you actually open your horizons and take a second look on the system around you.
You don't need to watch this movie to understand that the system around us is screwed. 7/8 of the world are in poverty, the rich in the west get richer as more money = more power = an ability to get more money.

How does this venus project plan to work? The recent science shows the renewable energy is not actually renewable and that we are running out of the metals used to operate machines. It's the result of watching too many late night sci-fi movies to think that "the machines" will rule over us. Democracy is not efficient. It is a concept that is largely "status quo" and the sum of the ignorant opinions of the majority rule. It is the scientific method used to arrive at solutions, not "machines making choices for us".

The bus (the technology) doesn't decide where it goes, it's driven, or programmed, by humans. How do you suggest a human adapts to that situation otherwise? We need to look after ourselves WITH the use of technology, for all, in equality.

@bodybuilder718 i personally do believe that work, money, love and family friends and- life in general will come to an end but no we do not live just once. if everyone believed that we live once and this life is 'just a ride' or whatever then imagine the chaos this world will end up living in! Religion is what prevents the poor from killing the rich~ Human beings need to have the feeling that something bigger and much more powerful is watching them i believe its the only way to control our lives

@ElisaIsra U obviously dont understand the video. Work and money are not life, they're only things we have created; "love, and family friends" are life. But money, work, posessions, etc. are apart of what IS just a ride. Not life at its foundation and what it really is, but what people think it is (working, money, taxes, fame, monetary gain, etc.). & religion is not what prevents killing; the Crusades & the Inquistion, among other religious movements, killed millions. & God is not religion.

I think Bill Hicks (and Carlin too) had something to do with me watching this film in the first place. I remember listening to him a lot back in 2007, which is when I began to develop a very skeptical attitude towards the government, media, and financial institutions largely because influences like Bill. Then I looked into 9/11, watched Loose Change, and then discovered Zeitgeist shortly thereafter! Now, I AM Zeitgeist, lol

love bill hicks, actually when i listened to this i found out that..it was something i needed to hear. Life is just a ride, but what are our worries? money, job, college, grades... i'm actually in the process of entering university now, but...i think it scares me, the fact that all we do is work ... just to keep working, and then what? the fact that happiness could never be achieved..it scares me, so i always try to remember...that this is just a ride

@ruzickaw actually, we are beautiful. Its not vanity. We have awareness, we are a collection of atoms contemplating atoms and the universe. We are, in a sense, the universe contemplating itself.
Some humans use their time here for pretty fucked up things sure, but that does not mean we as a species is bad. Most of us are pretty good.

I think he is referring to that we are much more well organized than we are aware of. Even though we have an awareness that is more developed than other animals, it is still trumped by the bodies chemical and mechanical complexity. We are just not aware of it.

Imagine that your brain said it was the most important organ, then your kidneys said the same thing, and your liver. You would rot away in a week if all the organs in your body were out for themselves. We need to see the entire world as one organism, do you really think animals see themselves as separate from the world?
