  • I saw these guys open for Ace Frehley back when this album was released. and they were great. seriously one of the best shows I've ever seen, and I've seen thousands. they were so engaging that they had the whole audience chanting their guitar roadies name (his name was Russ Hidalgo, I still remember it twenty four years later) and calling him out to sing an encore. now that's called winning a crowd over.

  • I discovered this band through my grandfather. He had them on a cassette tape in his car. I think there awesome!!!

  • That was a rocking album, Saw them open for Ace in 1991. Between the 2 of them the show blew the roof off!

  • one of the best unknown bands !!

  • sou mais pantera!

  • Where's these guys pants at?

  • AND- I DONT THINK I EVER HEARD AN ACTUAL 'COUGH' @ 3:01 LEFT IN A SONG.! #LOL

  • HEARD' EM TODAY FOR THE 1ST TIME. HAIR NATION.! →.BADASS SONG.. ! WHAT'S THE PANTERA CONNECTION..?

  • @jimmywacked The lead singer was the original lead for Pantera but left because they wanted to go more heavy and he wanted more glam. To be honest I'm not a fan of glam or hair I like heavy metal however I respect this dude for leaving because he gave up major fame to pursuit what he loved.

  • AIM FOR THE X! BLOWPHISH PLEASE!

  • dude my friend definitely dates his daughter haha

  • so is this wat panera wouldve sounded like in 89???

  • Problem they had was they were overly talented and under dressed. Fashion is king.

  • 3 people abhor fun in all its forms.

  • I would love to see a video of "She's A Bitch"

  • @baltbookings I don't think there's a video for that tune.

I can't remember if i uploaded any concert shots of the tune myself...

  • I love this band, partied witht ehm several times in Baltimore back in early 90's. Every song on Deaf Gods of Babylon kicked ass. A great bunch of guys to hang with too. It's been 20 years and I still listen to this CD often, AND I STILL HAVE MY T-SHIRT! (it doesn't fit though)

  • These guys where so good that the record labels just looked them over. They came along when the market was flooded with big hair, 1 hit wonder bands. And their album was so full of hits, that the program directors didn't know what to play.

  • Who wears short shorts they wear short shorts... out with the boys I bet lol

  • <--- a proud Memphian

  • @HeavyMetalNoize wait, so you think they still would've become the cowboys from hell with Glaze at the helm? let's not kid ourselves here.

  • The tune is bad ass. The video is horrible. bu i remember this tun back in the day on 105.5 KNAC.

  • The guitar player jimmy Ruisdoff is my dad.

    kickass

  • Music like this, makes me so glad Nirvana came along.

  • @BODYSLAMwrestling people who like nervana like penis C=====3

  • @kixr4kids1981 Let me put it this way, who's remembered more these days, Nirvana or some stupid cheezoid metal band who took their name from a porn star? OK then, good night.

  • @BODYSLAMwrestling Then why are you here? Dave Grohl's the only dude in Nirvana who had the most talent imo. "Come As You Are" is the only song I like from Nirvana. KC was a sloppy guitar player. Kris Noveselic would've been good if KC turned him up throughout the entire songs. He had interesting bass solos at the beginning of songs. But seriously there were WAY better bands from the Seattle grunge movement that actually had talent.

BTW hair metal lives forever in Dee Snider's House of Hair.

  • @bucky468 Talent does not mean you can write a good song (just look at any Lord Tracy song, but I digress). Who cares how "sloppy" a player is? As long as the music rocks (which Lord Tracy does not), I love it. And it does not always come down to talent, just look at the music scene today for proof of that. BTW, hair metal always sucked from day one. Go ahead and listen to music that was outdated 20 years ago, I won't mind. I'll just laugh at you and your poor taste in music.

  • @huntr7777 So I guess you think Suzi Quatro sucks too? She's the roots of what would come to be hair metal.

  • @bucky468 What does Suzi have to do with this? I simply opined that is music sucks! If you want to listen to crappy music that's your choice.

  • @huntr7777 The other day I listened to Dee Snider's House of Hair & each wk he pays tribute to one of the pioneers of hard rock (he calls it the Greasy Roots of Metal.) The featured artist he paid tribute to was Suzi Quatro. Many artists from the hair metal genre cite Suzi as one of their influences including Lita Ford, Vixen, Rock Goddess & Girlschool. Even male artists like Kiss, Motley Crue & Poison have Suzi as an influence. I'm sure this band (Lord Tracy) does too.

  • @bucky468 Hahahahaha Dee who? Seriously, who cares about Dee Snider, or any other of these hair metal bands who died the minute Nirvana's "Nevermind" came out?

  • @huntr7777 Close minded troll. And fyi, Motley Crue's still alive and well. Tommy Lee embraced Nirvana but Vince Neil spit on them the moment they came out. And Kiss never was hair metal. They just posed as a hair band when they took off the makeup in 1983. Ditto w/Def Lep, VH, Tesla, Queensryche, Scorpions, GN'R, Dream Theater & of course AC/DC. None of those artists are hair bands. And don't you dare diss Dio, Ozzy or Maiden. They have just as many fans as Nirvana if not more.

  • @bucky468 One band from that genre is still around and you call the whole genre alive and well? Please. And before you get your panties into more of a knot then they already are, I didn't mention any of those bands now did I? I am talking about the "pop" variety of hair metal that polluted the airwaves in the late 80's which made a great breeding ground for alt-rock bands to take over. Thankfully.

  • @huntr7777 What about the Darkness & Buckcherry? These modern rock bands use the same elements as 80's hair metal bands. Do you think they suck too? What's wrong w/80's hard rock anthems (by hair bands) like "Turn Up The Radio" by Autograph (1984) or "Balls To The Wall" by Accept (1983)? Why would those hard rock numbers suck?

  • @bucky468 Ummm let's see, The Darkness...one hit and their next album did nothing. Broke up quite some time ago. (strike one) Buckcherry...NEVER considered a hair band no matter how many joints you smoke. Never ever! (strike two) How many times do hear these "Hard Rock Anthems" you mentioned on the radio? I never do...maybe because they're only anthems to you. (strike three! You're outta there!) And this music, still sucks!

  • @huntr7777 Then you must listen to the wrong station if you nevber hear "Turn Up The Radio". I hear it all the time on the stations I listen to. You must not have any appreciation for 70's & 80's AOR (album oriented rock.) Do you think the same thing about arena rock bands/artists like Journey, REO, Boston, Survivor, Heart, Foreigner, Kansas, Loverboy, Night Ranger, Bryan Adams & Styx that you do about hair metal? In other words do you think those bands suck too? They began the power ballad.

  • @bucky468 Pretty much all those bands/artists you mention SUCK DONKEY BALLS! Especially Journey...gay. Man you keep digging yourself deeper, stop before you make an even bigger fool outta yourself!

  • @huntr7777 Journey sucks?! Hahaha!! Bet they don't suck anymore than Coldplay, Keane or the Fray. Besides Journey's best material came during the 70's before Steve Perry was w/them. Man you don't know your music well. Early Heart, Styx, Kansas & REO (back in the 70's) were all AWESOME!! Solid heavy hard rock. Styx & REO wimped out when they sold out to Top 40 radio w/the dreaded power ballad (Kiss had one too...does "Beth" ring a bell?) Boston has the best selling debut of all time.

  • @bucky468 Journey always did suck! And I don't listen to Coldplay or any of those other bands. And I know more about music than you think...believe me. That's why I know bad music when I hear it, like Lord Tracy. But I must admit you are right when you say early Styx, Heart and maybe even Kansas were good at one time before corporate rock came in and ruined everything.

  • @huntr7777 Too bad you dislike Journey. Steve Perry wasn't always its lead singer. Journey formed in 1973. (Perry) was added to the lineup in late 1977 (4 years after Journey formed.) His vocals weren't present on Journey's first 3 albums which (btw) were nothing like the arena rock or soft rock they became famous for beginning in 1979. They charted low. Out of those 3 "Next" was the highest charting album (at #85.) Perry's first Journey album was 1978's "Infinity" which made it as high as #21.

  • @huntr7777 Perry's first album as Journey's singer was straight ahead rock. "Lights" is the softest song on the entire album. The 3 before that (pre-Perry days) were a hybrid between jazz fusion & progressive art rock just like those of Kansas & Styx which were 100% pure prog. Those 3 albums had epic tracks that were 6 min or longer which you never heard on the Perry releases. REO's 70's albums were anything but lite rock. The first 2 (REO) albums were geared more toward the prog aspect of rock.

  • @bucky468 Bucky, I know all this already...I am a student of music I guess you could say. Just for the record, I am a die hard Pink Floyd fan. Also love The Who, Zappa, Beatles, earlier Stones, the Monkees, Johnny Cash, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane's Addiction, Misfits, The Police, good house/techno, so I am all over the place with music. And hair metal still sucks big fat donkey balls.

  • @huntr7777 And Steve Perry era Journey is not even close to hair metal.

  • @huntr7777 What about Queen? Do you think they suck too. They're another major influence on those pesky hair metal bands you hate so much (a la Bon Jovi.)

  • @bucky468 Queen I actually liked until the early 80's...after that I tuned out. But you're missing the point...Queen was not hair metal. Let's get back to basics here, in the late 80's pop metal was all looking and sounding the same. People were ready for a change in music. If you still listen to it, good for you. I hated it, and always will hate it. Like Flea said, they're all poster children for bad music.
