That was excellent playing and your sense of humor is outstanding. Any chance of you taking the song all the way thru? It really was a great lesson and it got me started. Oh and good to hear Steve Howe didn't use your pinky LOL Thanks again my friend
been playing for years and always wanted to learn this song. I am slowly working on this and as GrahamMac said good show of rhythm, which is hard at first but with determination it will work!
Again, nice work, John - and apologies for writing "Chris" in my reply to patflix, I had multiple windows open and got you confused with someone else!
I have some new Yes material up if you'd care to have a listen...
Agree completely - nice work, Chris. I always "got" the rhythm in my head, but I'd never given much thought (being a bassist) to the mechanics of playing the song. Just rams home (again!) what a monster Steve Howe is for having written this...at 22! Bloody 'ell!
I would like to add that you are one of the only guitarist on YouTube to play this properly - like Steve. If you could do another vid showing the whole song at a close-up angle like this it would be amazing. Thanks again!
Great :) Thanks for sharing.

This hybrid right hand picking technique is very difficult.
I couldn't see, but do you have nails on your right fingers?
I do it without nails and think Steve does too.
