  • We watched this in my English class. It was very helpful.

  • THIS IS FREAKING HELPFUL FOR OUR PLAY!!!! THANK YOU!!! A LOT!

  • well this is quite helpful for my british literature course...

  • acid....

  • is that rupert everet's voice playing gawain?

  • How old is this?

  • 3:24 "Well, that was a marvel to suit the moment! More than enough to make me hungry!" Ah yes, a nice decapitation always arouses my appetite as well...

  • Why is Sir Gamain and the Green Knight a Medieval Romance?

  • Like a stain glass window in motion. WONDERFUL!!!

  • OK I CAN'T SEE nothfg

  • So...Gawain was Arthur's nephew. That probably means he's one of Sir Cay's kids.

  • Ah, this is alright. I wish there was a more dramatic and emotional animation of it around with better production value :/

  • At 5:45, it sounds like the guard says "Rice and Pizza." It made my entire class laugh. =)

  • @Neridah12 hahahahaha it seriously did sound like he said rice and pizza LOLOL

  • This is so much different than the original...

  • ga-won not ga-wayne lol

  • ... oh ill just ask it!!!

    did this happen?

  • I have to read this for a college course. This is better for understanding this film of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.

  • my paper sucks balls............

  • I too remember the days when I'd rather be jerking off or sticking my thumb in my ass, rather than just read the story..... This was an interesting, entertaining short.

  • lmbo so im guessing we r not the only high school reading this shit lol

  • @jovanna889 no

  • @jovanna889 fo sho you aren't. In Poland we have to read this shit too :]

  • haha, damn it! ihave to make an alternate ending to this story, this is pretty weird.

  • Beautiful animation!

  • my paper comparing and contrasting this video to the orginal text is due in 9 hours, here we go...

  • @iamavirus hey i have to do the same thing...can you give me any tips?

  • it seems that everybody has the damn English Class! haha

mine is English Literature~ the middle ages thing.. Beowulf..blah blah blah

  • im only watching this for my english class

  • This is by far my favourite Arthurian tale and especially since it features my favourite knight - Gawain. :)

  • its interesting that in other works gawain is downplayed.

    such as in malory.

  • Is there anymore animation like this or in this style on youtube?

  • This is very well done!

  • In my English class, we are discussing Enlish from this time period, and King Arthur is perfect for that. The teacher wants to show us a film of this story, and so this is what she is showing us. I am thanking you for her.

  • The voice acting is occasionally a bit... flat. Other than that (and it certainly isn't bad per se) this is a lovely adaptation. The stylized art and animation is reminiscent of illuminated manuscripts and stained glass alike; it suits the story quite well.

Thanks for uploading, I've been wanting to see this for some time.

  • My friend did a hilarious parody of this.

  • where did this come from?

    was it a tv program??

    is it on DVD

I LOVE arthurian litrature. and I very much enjoy this story. Ive read Tolkien's translation of this poem.

next to Malory's Le Morte D Arthur, Gawain and the Green Knight is probly the most populer english arthurian story.

  • oh THANKS GOD TY FOR THE HELP IN mA la cLASS

  • I thought he left on all saints day not halloween?

  • This is by far my most favorite Arthurian tale. The adaptation is simply outstanding, with a lot of attention for details from the original story/poem.

  • Still one of my favourite adaptations of Sir Gawain... as sumbody who's just finished an essay about it (Sir Degare too) it was great to get a quirky visual reference going

  • Well done for uploading this brilliant video. I have been trying to view this film for years. I originally saw this film on Channel 4 Education programmes years ago, and have tried to buy it from the makers but it is only sold to educational organisations only. What a shame!

  • Thank you a lot. Nicely done.

  • A very good and interesting adaptation.

  • this is what i would imagine an acid trip to be like.

  • this is AMAZING. it's really helped with my revision, thank you xx
