Incidentally, for anyone interested in hearing more genuine, traditional flamenco, check out Manolo Santos right here on YouTube. He plays great traditional flamenco no tricks, no ten million boring double arpeggios, just wonderful flamenco with feeling.
An addition to my previous post I don't agree with the term "old style" Bulerias. That term would imply that there is a "new style." But the stuff they play these days isn't any style at all, because it's so far removed from tradition that's it's not even flamenco. They can call it flamenco, but it's just a bunch of notes it's all silly nonsense that has nothing whatever to do with flamenco. So "old style" is really the only true flamenco. Better to use the term "traditional."
Great. I'd rather listen to a genuine Bulerias like this, than a million notes by Paco de Lucia that he calls "Bulerias," but don't have any relation to Bulerias. It's all jazz harmonies, and falsetas that can't even be called flamenco any more. This is genuine flamenco, folks - the real thing. Give us some more.
