@AzelfVolution This is the Xbox Live Arcade version, which is a direct port of the Dreamcast version. I guess Namco decided to retain the arcade feel with the "insert coin" flashing. It's awesome either way. -- Lyndsey

I've always loved this character, and I'm kinda glad they brought Siegfried back in Soul Calibur 3 (Or 2, but I don't think an alternate costume counts, lol). Anyways, great job. ^^

well the stuff is just like playing with siegfried.. but nightmare is really kool, badass and power ful.. and also you kause you have this game that i only play in arcades...

Nightmare (SC2) is the best character in the game. He has the strongest attack, called the Earth Splitter, it does up to 400 Damage, and can Kill Sophitia in 1 hit, given the correct weapons. Nightmare's strongest 3 )SOUL EDGE COMPLETE, Soul Calibur, Glam) with the bad weapons, Sophitia is the weakest character. Link's Hyperdash, with Soul Edge complete, also deals great damage, and with the Vajra, Maxi is seemingly unstoppable, but he can not guard. Cassandra's Valkyrie is also a good choice.

@Jerry11606 Ah OK! Just wondering. Actually, we noticed it, too. We think it's maybe because Astaroth is more popular than Rock, play-wise. I haven't seen too many Rock players but a whole bunch of Astaroths. I'm more partial to Ast myself.

He was overpowered compared to some characters, but in actual tournament play, he could get owned by the quicker characters such as Sophitia, Kilik or Cervantes. He's a good character to start off with but once everyone has his moves down, he's not as overpowering as you think, IMO.

Yep, it is. This is the first one that he appears as an outright playable character. In Soul Edge/Soul Blade he was like a secret costume for Siegfried.

We actually prefer this depiction of Nightmare out of all the versions of Soulcalibur.
