DO NOT use household bleach! It will wreck your hair & it's a huge health hazard as well!! To do blue tips (i used to hav them) either bleach or shampoo bleach (depending on how concerned you are abt damage) whatever you want blue with a salon quality bleach that you can get at sally beauty supply and 30 Vol developer and follow the instructions. Then apply whatever blue dye you want to use after rinsing out the bleach. It's as simple as that(: good luck, hope i helped!

I'm using just the other dye, not the manic panic. But my hair is blonde on top (dyed) and brown on bottom (natural). Do you think I could just use this dye and have it all be an even color or should I just dye my whole head brown or blonde then do the red? @lupayyloo every time you wash your hair use cold water and buy shampoo and conditioner make for red hair. :x hope this helps if you didn't already know this. :)

oh man, i was, or actually i am in the SAME EXACT boat. I've had to bleach wash my hair twice though, once by myself, another by a professional, but there are still parts that are WAY STUBBORN and will NOT lighten. I just wanted to ask, since you dyed your hair, and you did have to use bleach, was it hard to keep in the red?

@drakeluva6973 don't razor it! there's another way to do it that will NOT thrash your hair, i used to razor it and no no no, please. just look up any layered hair tutorials, they all give the same result.
