  • Danngg i love this piano cover! I dnt understand why you have a dislike

  • do you have this song of piano sheet or chords?......coz i also wanna play this song like you ><

  • First-rate bass/rhythm line.

    Really makes it motor along.

  • i agree you are better than David Sides and he's a good piano player - can we have vida la vida - coldplay many thanks

  • Hi Paul, How do you start picking up notes of a song that you haven't played before? Do you play by ears? The way your fingers hitting the keys looks like you don't have to think before doing it. Did you start learning piano when you were a kid?

  • @danixcher I'm in the process of making a series of videos which will explain everything properly. Most music is full of patterns and conventions which makes it easier to figure out.

  • hi paul very good, i have a satisfaction 'very very good satisfaction) to listen your piano, it's wonderfull! thank you for my ears.... and you play very very good..

  • Man you are great at what you do with that keyboard keep it up

  • Obviously for anyone who is musical, this is way better than David Sides. I really don't know why people like David Sides' s playing. (good for them though) But imo its fairly non-musical and totally hacky tacky with poor technique, while this guy is fairly amazing on all parts! Anyway, music is different for everyone and as long as we enjoy it it's fine!

  • Pure talent you've got there mate!

  • i just love this.... great music!

  • Incredible my friend.

  • Fantastic !!

  • you are the sunshine of this day, my friend! fantastic job!!! i think i've subscribed.

  • Hi Paul! I like your stile of playing the songs,i watched some of your videos and they are really nice and good played. Can i ask a question? Whats your pianos model?Thank you very much for this video too,i enjoyed!

  • That was awesome

  • Lovely

  • bella da acoltare in cuffia senza rumori esterni

  • stevie wonders hands never looked so white!

  • excellent

  • lol elevator music ^^

  • Nice job! His lower harmonies blow me away. You matched them perfect. Nice.

  • Nice one! thanks for sharing

  • damn you're really amazing...

  • I hope you played it blindfolded! out of respect to Stevie hehe

Seriously.. How the man is able to compose pieces like this is just mindblowing..

  • @TheConnyB They are certainly fantastic pieces, but I think they contain elements of jazz which were acceptable at the time which we now seem to have lost from new music.

  • This song's suppose to start in the key of B..

  • @ohioplayer How is that important? So if Stevie would play this with a singer who preferred another key, Stevie would simply refuse to change the key of the song? Saying "Nope! The song starts in B, and that´s final!" ?

  • tutorial please!

  • sounds like something you'd have as the music on the sims 1 or an ice cream van :D

  • Very good, but please, not so lot of sustain pedale ( i hope you understand my bad english). The left hand is very very good on the second half, but don't use often the double bass. Compliments from Italy!!!

  • super!!!

  • beautifull interpretation...it's ok

  • a true master at work... you're on a league way farther than most of us can ever be...

do you happen to document your arrangements... maybe market it somehow

  • Beautiful rendition, thank you for sharing your joy in life.

  • @OldGringo38 You're very welcome

  • I really appreciate the wonderful quality of your stuff. The bass line is particularly interesting. You wouldn't need a bass player at least.

  • nice - continue expanding it as part of your repetoire

  • This song went staright to my heart! Loved it! Well played. You have the ability to play music that contains alot of feelings. You should play at some bar/restaurrant.

Thanks for cheering me up with your music!

  • You got it going on!

  • excellent!!!!

  • Very very good.

  • Great job!

  • sweet!

  • That's fantastic.

  • woooooooooooww

  • you have talent

  • to je bomba perfect okkkkkkkkk one

  • you are fucking amazing i love the bass

  • nice ^^

  • Beautiful! 20 stars!

  • Hey, Paul, really enjoy the fact that you share your playing with the world. I appreciate the fact that you take time to really perfect the performance before you post it. I know, many have asked, but what kind of board do you play? I'm glad you don't play an acoustic, because IMHO they don't sound very good when they are recorded to video. you really have to hear the acoustic "live". I am also a software engineer. I'ts good to make use of the right and the left side of the brain. Thanks again!

  • Hi Derrick. Thanks for you kind comment. I used to record acoustic piano onto audio tape and it always sounded terrible; I'm really glad for how easy it is to get a fairly good recording these days. Every software engineer I know has some other creative talent like photography or painting which they don't tell you about until after you get to know them.

  • damn. those keys woke me up. lol

  • nice style, and wonderful FM-Piano sound!!!!

  • Thank you. It's phased electric piano with celeste - but the result is pretty similar to a DX7

  • great job as always im in process of learning electric guitar and i play trumpet pretty good

  • Great stuff Paul !!! Keep'em coming ! I'm re-learning how to play piano after several years away from this hobby of mine and your posts are a great source of inspiation and reference for my piano technique.

  • Hi Nuno - thank you. This is the most encouraging type of comment to see that you think keyboards are worth the effort.

  • Long time no seen Paul. Internet is back home. I just finished my drawing lesson ( life drawing real model) and eating now - listening to your performance.

  • That was so beautiful. i couldn't help but sing along.

  • What the hell man? you are waaaay better than that david sides guy, yet he kills u in the ratings.... U deserve to have higher ratings.

  • I hadn't heard of David Sides - I think he's doing more contemporary stuff and that's probably why he gets more views.

  • they talk about david sides like he's god

  • exactly. hes good, not god. I think many people don't realize many people can do the same thing as him, and better. Its just the people who are that good are either too old to know how to use youtube, or are out doing better things than youtube.

  • And then he does a FAQ video taking fans questions like he's Elton John lol

  • @HoorahMarineCorps thats what im saying i like them both though but i think its cause david sides is playing new songs that the kids are search like lady gaga and stuff (im 19 btw so i know haha)

  • @kidsandjazz

I am 17! I know exactly the crap they listen to!

  • @HoorahMarineCorps ikr utter garbage woot woot for good music taste lol

  • @HoorahMarineCorps I wouldn't say he's better than David Sides. They both are exceptional pianists. Both of them have impressive technical abilities. David is also self taught. That's a feat within itself. With that being said, I would kill to be able to get to Paul's level of playing. He's a beast.

  • @Scales1981 Well first off, self taught or formally taught, it doesn't matter: all I said was he was better. David Sides does not have amazing technical ability at all. I don't want to undermine his talent, or his hard work to get to where he was. He is amazing at what he does, but the fact of the matter is that Paul is better. The arrangements are much more practical, and (as a side note) the style is more challenging and sophisticated.

  • love the intro

  • You are truly talented! You bring new light to songs by legends. Could you please do some Marvin Gaye? (in particular, What's Goin On, one of my faves).

  • Thanks queenk2k, that's a very kind comment. I will start listening to Marvin Gaye

  • THANKS!!!

  • I hear good sounds coming from my speakers....well done!

What make/model of keyboard is this?

  • It's an RD700 SX (now the old one). The keyboard is split with Celeste at the top and Garage bass on the bottom with Stage Phase behind both.

  • Awesome job:D

  • Thanks :)
