  • The incident with Paprota was probably the nail in the coffin of the Dash series. With the fact that those cars were easily spun out and rolled over on even the *short* tracks, I had some thought that his inexperience in controlling the car -- he was a paraplegic who had the car set up with controls on the steering wheel for gas, brakes and clutch -- was a factor. It was sad and horrifying that the track worker died the way he did.

  • notice how Mike Joy said there was debris and not a dead track worker... simple

  • I'm so glad they dont run these cars at Daytona anymore....or if the Series is even around anymore. They were rolling death traps.

  • The car came out of the pits and was racing to catch up to the back of the field before it returned to green. Exiting turn 2, he saw Mr. Weaver on the track, swerved to avoid him, but struck him with the back of the car at 141 mph. It was a gruesome scene that I'll never be able to forget.

  • @IndyGlenn which part did you see it on, because i can't find it in the video.

  • did that car hit him, or runover, or blew something and it caught the worker?

  • The car hit the track worker, spun out, and hit the wall. The damage to the back end of the car came from hitting the wall.

  • Well obviously they wouldn't show the man's dead body on live television.

  • U can tell in the change of mike joys voice that somthin sad happend.....
