  • Folks, this is not Parliament/Funkadelic, It's the Parliaments, which predated the Parliament/Funkadelic period. The Parliaments were, however, started by George Clinton, at the age of 15!

  • Found this my accident what a great find. Should be included in Parliament-Funkadelic Greatest hits. The title says it all "Look At What I Almost Missed" Been listening to Parliament since Up For The Down Stroke and never heard this until the 40th Anniversary of the "Fight Of The Century" between Ali and Frazier (Fight 1)

  • it can't be parliament funkadelic

  • @caiogalo10 it's just funkadelic as a doo woop group is all

  • @caiogalo10 Check out a track called "Don't be sore at me" by Parliament, its fab.

  • Funk its a revolution itself. A whole coup from african-american community to what was theirs all the time: Rock n' roll (or, I must say, R&B). Soul was a mediator, but Funk is stronger and goes straight to the roots.

Kindly regards from a long-live Funk fan from Bogotá, Colombia. ¡Larga vida al Funk!

  • true genius...enjoy and idolize him b4 he's gone!!!

rock n roll hall of fame all the way ery'day!!!!!

  • hahah just teasin us with the groove

  • I think George Clinton's hit "I Wanna Testify" marked the point when his music began to emerge from the standard soul music formula of the day and gradually transformed into something new (aka The P-Funk). IMO, this song marks the seed-time for what would become the Parliament/Funkadelic sound. Of couse, the album "Maggot Brain," simply obliterated the standard soul convention and established a new funk standard.

  • they God they morphed.

  • you can just hear the fuck ready to explode.

  • my guess would be 1966 or early 1967

  • Some great Northern Soul baby!

  • I dig the Pat Lewis' version of this song just as much as I like this version.

  • parliaments

  • je ne peux croire que ce soit G.Clinton !!!!

    etes vous certains ????

  • this is where it began, cutting heads and cutting records on the side from New Jersey to Detroit

  • Man, different beat but how they matured

  • MAN THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS
