You won't see muhammed doing major 7 sweeps and tapping runs like Muenzner does.

The album is definitely coming.

@ThorsGuitarChannel uh... Grossmann is/was more tasteful, original, and skilled than 99% of death metal drummers. Goulon is the shit too, but I can tell that he's not into much music other than death metal when I listen to his playing. Grossmann has a well rounded repetroir of influences and so much tastefulness.

@rodriguinho180798 You should look up the lyrics from Necrophagist, they are not that gory at all. 'Epitaph' mostly deals with rather philosophical questions.
@fredmachine Epitaph is about fate and control, Onset of Putrefaction as a counterpart could be seen as the effects of that. Extreme Unction for example is a song dealing with religion, much like Seven.
Most of the first album contains your generic gore lyrics, though.

I can already feel the hate coming, but where and the hell is the new Necrophagist album? Waiting 6 years to release an album is like suicide. The dude is wicked talented, apparently he had the first album written before he was even 18, I just don't understand what the big delay is.
Even if that's true, there are far more technical bands(although most of them suck at writing music unlike necrophagist, and necro actually knows theory) who record albums much faster. all necro's done is tour constantly.
And it's not THAT hard once you have the song down and completed. It's all about muscle memory.
@TheMetalWeasel Believe it or not, Muhammed actually said that this is one of the weaker tracks on the new album! Also, a couple months ago Romain told me that the drum parts for this song are totally different now. Judging from that, I'd say that they are probably trying to make the album as perfect as possible. So yes, it will indeed be worth the fucking wait. It will remind everyone what technical death metal is supposed to sound like and why Necrophagist is the best!

One guy that got ahold of the three demos of the new album said that the two other songs are named " Homo Sum Humani " and " Mors ".
The album will either be named " Path to Mors " ( path to death ) or Dawn and Demise.
Muhammed said D&D was one of the weaker tracks.
The guy with the demos agreed. The other two songs are even BETTER than D&D.

Even if that's true, there are far more technical bands(although most of them suck at writing music unlike necrophagist, and necro actually knows theory) who record albums much faster. all necro's done is tour constantly.
And it's not THAT hard once you have the song down and completed. It's all about muscle memory.

@TheMetalWeasel Believe it or not, Muhammed actually said that this is one of the weaker tracks on the new album! Also, a couple months ago Romain told me that the drum parts for this song are totally different now. Judging from that, I'd say that they are probably trying to make the album as perfect as possible. So yes, it will indeed be worth the fucking wait. It will remind everyone what technical death metal is supposed to sound like and why Necrophagist is the best!
