Yes, thank you, I figured it out a couple of weeks ago. It's obvious she's talking about a crazy boyfriend whom she loves, and calls him the beast. But she stopped being a victim, to me it means she dealt with the situation, as best as our emotions allow us, life's tough, but as the saying goes, the tough get going. However I love the reference to the beast of Revelations coming from the sea, it just gives me the "ziggy ziggy" feeling, not knowing exactly how to deal with...
