  • This show played in the West End at the Adelphi during the War and was the biggest show in London in Wartime. Hugely important show in the history of British and indeed global musical theatre.

  • Many thanks, considering it for grae 8 singing exam so good to be able to hear it,.

  • Absolutely beautiful, god bless Rhodesia and all of its people !

  • Absolutely astounding rendition! That lady has a stunning voice.

  • Enchanting

  • I'm lost for words every time I hear this lady sing... GORGEOUS rendition of another lovely Novello song! I like the way the song is 'lived' when being sung - marvellous!

  • This is really exquisite. It is the best interpretation of the song by a female voice on UTOUBE.

  • This video has been sent to me by a friend of good music....Ilike it....

  • an outstanding exponent of the art of bel canto.........and a fine living example of the tradition which is handed down from the Marchesi family and poeple like

Pauline Viardot (a close friend of Chopin) ...............also you have one of the most beautiful and distinctive vocal tones that I have ever heard........on a par with Jessye Norman and Callas..........

  • absolutely superb voice and interpretation..............thank you

  • Beautifully sung by both soloist and group.

My mother also played this song on the piano

    and sang along. Happy memories.

  • What a beautiful voice - and an utterly romantic song. Congratulations on a splendid performance. Thank goodness someone recorded it! My mother's favourite song and she used to sing it all around the house. She herself danced in a number of Ivor Novello musicals, notably Glamorous Night.

  • Well done, one of my repertoire! By the way we live in the same town.. I might bump into you soon..

  • @KEAHUGHES ....Lorna kelly is a genius....glad you noticed her.

I noticed she teaches voice as well.....

  • Ivor Novello, probably the most under-rated of all British composers. However, when his music is sung by such competent singers as these, we are able to see the full scope of his genius. This girl would not be shamed if she did a duet with Richard Tauber himself. Lovely voice.
