Projection onto a building that size requires several, very large (and expensive.) projectors, blending at the very least. - Possibly also stacked to increase light output.
Regarding shadow, No, projectors cannot project black/darkness. - well, they can, but only as an "absence of light" in the projected image.
- The "shadow" is created by making the rest of the building "lighter" and thus creating an effect of depth. Its pretty bloody clever and very well done.
