I think your talking about the jam in 8, transitions to 11, with the last bar in 12, then back to 11 prior to the vocals commencing (we definitely did not hit that one). Excellent ear, thanks! Also, you probably noted the 12/10 bars for the lyrics 'Now is the test of the boomarang....tossed in the night of redeeming.'
Nice transition from St. Stephen into The Eleven, except for one wrinkle: when the Dead do it, they play 3 bars of 11, then one of 12 before settling into 11 for good. Check it out on your favorite live show bootlegs!
